Just watched Superman and holy shit it’s so good! I’m already planning on seeing it again next week

Some super scoopers have been super active near my parents house this week, I run outside every time I hear them overhead. Such cool planes

Video games have prepared me for this moment my whole life, it’s taking all my willpower not to just step on the gas right now.

Luckily there was some gaps in the clouds just long enough for me to take some pictures. Really happy with how this turned out given I had high winds and an unstable tripod

Just picked these up, first time reading the comics and I’ve never even seen the show!

It’s more about the time period than it is about space, but Apollo 10 1⁄2 was a very fun movie that flew under most people’s radar

Captured the Rosette Nebula last night. I got about 2 hours of data before the police informed me that I was on private property (in my defense, even the cops agreed that it was very poorly marked) Luckily it was a chill interaction and they even recommended some nearby dark sky sites

Image of the Rosette Nebula, which shares a striking resemblance to a human skull. It is mostly white but with red fringes at the edges.

Turned out great! The OpenAstroTracker has an auto polar alignment upgrade and I may have to invest in that, it was pretty finicky to do manually. But for 30 second subs it wasn't really a problem.

I got a star tracker! Testing it out on Andromeda tonight, I’ll post pictures tomorrow if all goes well

Exciting day for Spaceflight! I’m gonna be in class during starship but I’m sure I’ll find a way to watch

The ship in the Star Wars Jedi games has a terrarium, and one of the plants you can put in it is a bonsai tree! (although it’s called something else in game)

Do you have access to a 3d printer? I mounted my audio interface to the bottom of my desk with a simple bracket and some screws (picture is from google but it’s very similar to what I did)

Some of my favorite pictures I’ve taken this year!

Wide angle picture of SpaceX’s Starship rocket on its launchpad, with grassy sand dunes in the foreground, and the starship production site visible in the background

Landscape photo of distant mountains covered in trees. A vibrant sunset is the focus of the picture, and there are streams of rain falling on the mountains

Photo of a gibbous moon, with the shadow only covering the leftmost side of it. The sea of tranquility is clearly seen on the visible side of the moon

Picture taken out of an airplane window, with one of the wings in view. Clouds are completely covering the landscape below, except for Mt. Rainier rising through them. The sun is setting in the packground

First attempt imaging the moon, I only have up to a 200mm lens so it’s not the best quality, but was still a ton of fun to shoot!

Guess I’m moving to Bluesky now, so I’ll introduce myself. I’m studying aerospace engineering at ERAU Prescott, love all things space. I very recently started getting into astrophotography so I’ll post those pictures whenever I have new ones. Here’s my favorite photos I’ve taken, glad to be here!
