MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 14hMy love for this silly guy manifested into a sticker 🤣💖 He deserves all the affection for what he's been through! Enjoy! 010
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 03/10/2026#58 Alan Wake I wanted to like this one I don't care how peak the sequel is, this game left such a bad taste in my mouth that I don't want to be anywhere near it for a while. I think I would have more fun if I actually took a flashlight and went to the woods in the middle of the night (More in alt) 000
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 21/09/2026#57 The Black Phone I've gotta admit, not all child performances in this movie are great. Mason Thames however is fantastic, and I hope he goes places. And while I wouldn't say this movie is scary per se, Ethan Hawke has no business being THIS creepy I'm sorry for doubting you, Scott Derrickson 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 20/09/2026#56 Goodbye, Lara This is one of the most beautiful series I've ever seen; I was convinced it was a movie when I first watched some clips. Everything about Lara's design is wonderful - I love the scar on her tongue. But I had a feeling the story needed a bit more time in the oven to be truly perfect 111
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 20/09/2026#55 The Stolen Princess It is what it is - a Disney knock off, with an additional trait of being boring as sin Why in the world does the male lead have more romantic chemistry with his best friend than the princess? 101
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 18/09/2026#54 Resident Evil (2026 movie) What a riot! Gross, bloody, with an effortlessly funny and likable protagonist, it's a wild ride from beginning to end. Even as a newbie to the series I caught a bunch of iconic references like the various keys or the typewriter. Watch it even if you don't know RE! 110
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 08/09/2026#53 Alien Stage How many traumatised gays do you want? Yes My favourite songs are "My Clematis", "Ruler of my Heart", "All-in" and "Karma" 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 03/09/2026#52 Fullmetal Alchemist: The Ties That Bind So far my favourite FMA light novel. It's got a lot of good stuff: body horror, war trauma, found family, mystery, and more. The big bad was lacking, but he wasn't the focus here so I'll allow it. Like The Abducted Alchemist, I wish I could see it animated 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Characters for a short story I wrote for Fandom 5K Exchange on AO3 😊💖 You can read it here if you're interested! archiveofourown.org/works/856382... 000
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 28/08/2026#51 Drag Me to Hell I get it; it's campy, it's supposed to be cheesy and weird, but I just couldn't get into it. I don't enjoy watching characters receive punishments that don't suit the crime. I did like the soundtrack though, especially the piano theme! Plus, Justin Long is always a treat to watch 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 19/08/2026#50 Good Boy This is a very different type of horror; the one where you feel completely vulnerable and powerless. It also speaks to me directly as a dog owner. It's so dreadful and surprisingly heartfelt considering the themes Not to mention that Indy deserves all the awards and treats in the world! 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 19/08/2026#49 The Nice Guys I can't believe I didn't watch this movie sooner. Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling are a riot to watch, especially Ryan (I think I'm starting to become his fan haha). It's clear that everyone on set had fun, the positive energy shines through every scene and line of dialogue 110
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 17/08/2026#48 Ijimeru Aitsu ga Warui noka, Ijimerareta Boku ga Warui noka? Now here's a story and protagonist I can relate to. I myself wouldn't take the actions that the protag did, but I'd be lying if I said his revenge wasn't satisfying to watch. It's worth a read for the batshit insanity that happens 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 16/08/2026#46 - 47 Night at the Museum + Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian Yep, I didn't watch these films as a child, I only read the novelization of the first movie. Tap the posters to see my thoughts :) 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 03/08/2026#45 The Last Guardian Just like Shadow of the Colossus before it, the controls leave a lot to be desired. That being said, I love this game dearly. It has a deep sense of mysticism and magic, breathtaking sights all around, and of course Trico; with whom I fell in love at first sight (More in alt) 120
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 31/07/2026#44 The Odyssey It might be a hot take, but I liked this movie more than Oppenheimer. What can I say, it's an awesome movie! Not flawless of course, since there were some choices that felt wrong, but awesome nonetheless. It's worth watching simply for Agamemnon aura farming in the middle of battle. 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 23/07/2026#43 SOMA The first six hours were an absolute nightmare for me. Not in a sense that I was scared - the controls were horrible (PS5) and I got stuck for hours not knowing were to go because I couldn't notice obvious landmarks (thanks, TV). All of that was worth it for the thought provoking ending 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 16/07/2026#42 Astro Bot This game feels like a warm, welcoming hug! Seriously, despite not growing up with a PlayStation and not getting a solid 80% of references, Astro and his robot buddies made me feel right at home. It's fun, charming and adorable; it's a game I fell in love with and I'll gladly 100% it 101
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 09/07/2026#40 Martha is Dead What a disappointing game. All the interesting plot points related to WW2 or esoterism go absolutely nowhere. The psychological horror for that matter goes nowhere either; it all comes off as clunky mess. This is Pan's Labyrinth if that movie wasn't graceful or thought through 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 06/07/2026#39 Resident Evil 2 (2019) HOLY SHIT THAT WAS GREAT I still think RE7 is the scariest Resident Evil for me, but RE2 is still incredible. I started the game for Leon, I stayed for Claire; both are wonderful, and I ship 'em hard My only issue is that the puzzles are the same for both routes 110
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 27/06/2026#37 The Exorcism of Emily Rose Uuuuuuh Is it blasphemous to say this movie isn't scary? Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't connect with this story at all. It's sad, because I love Sinister; which is genuinely one of my favourite horror movies. Sorry, Scott Derrickson 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 20/06/2026#36 Backrooms KANE PARSONS WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE! *pause* WITH A BUNCH OF SCRAP! In all seriousness though, great film, give it a watch! 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 13/06/2026#35 The Drama Holy shit, what an uncomfortable, tense, hilarious ride that was! Honestly, I went into the movie blind so the titular drama kinda... Hit me like a truck lol, and didn't want to let go of its grip. Watching this train wreck unfold was a wonderful experience. Give this movie a shot! 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 09/06/2026#34 The Amazing Digital Circus (entire series) I feel happy :) 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 08/06/2026#33 Misery Brilliant! Misery kept me on the edge of my seat and I found myself holding my breath at certain moments. I didn't expect the comedy (whether it was intentional or not) to land so well too; Buster especially. I can see why it's considered a classic. Kathy Bates is incredible! 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 07/06/2026#32 Bring Her Back This movie was soo frustrating - a true masterclass in gaslighting. And I mean it in the best possible sense! Not to mention all the anxiety that came with certain scenes and events. And the makeup work? Overall it's a fantastic movie that leaves you with a sense of melancholy 200
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 04/06/2026#31 Saint Maud See, children? This is why you go to therapy after experiencing a trauma 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 31/05/2026#30 My Deer Friend Nokotan An army of dancing Indian warriors brought me here 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 17/05/2026Something fun I made for a movie night with friends, as per tradition in our friend group :) Of course I want to pester everyone I know with Project Hail Mary hahahaha I should draw some actual fanart for this movie! 🪨🌍 000
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 15/05/2026#29 Fullmetal Alchemist: The Abducted Alchemist A pleasant read that should've made its way to the 2003 anime. I love the nonchalance once the titular abduction happens, adds a lot to the comedy. I would pay some serious money to see Roy fold paper planes out of official documents in animated form 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 12/05/2026#28 The Wedding Singer Despite all the... weird comedic choices, it's still a really cute flick! The relationship between the main leads is sooo sweet, and the final scene is especially adorable. And the song, oh my god, hearing it in its entirety had me in stitches. George is a national treasure! 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 11/05/2026#27 Mickey7 The book is INFINITELY better than the movie buuuuuuuuut... It's ungodly boring. It tries to touch upon some philosophical problems and the political satire is pretty much nonexistent, but the plot is simply a slog to get through. If you like it, awesome, it's just not my cup of tea 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 10/05/2026Dapper capybara 💙 For now his name is Kajetan but it might change once he goes to his new owner 😂💖 010
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 09/05/2026#26 Pragmata Honestly, I expected something else; not that I'm disappointed! This game is lots of fun, with a ton of heart and passion put into it. You can see it clearly specifically in the bond between Hugh and Diana. What a beautiful showcase of fatherhood - one to replay at least one more time 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 05/05/2026#25 Michael The best way to describe this movie is Uhm Milquetoast Also not having Smooth Criminal in there is a crime in and of itself (I don't care if Smooth Criminal doesn't fit in the timeline of the movie lol) 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 23/04/2026#24 Death of a Unicorn That was MAGNIFICENT I love me a an accurate representation of unicorn lore, and this movie has great unicorn designs to boot. Leave it to A24 to make a gory, fun, twisted fairytale. I'll be returning to this one for sure! 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 22/04/2026#23 A Brief Moment of Ichika Stories about terminal illness and the inevitability of death just hit different for me. This story didn't need to be a romance though, I think it would be just as impactful if it was just a story about friendship between the two leads 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 07/04/2026#22 Project Hail Mary For a movie about impending doom, it made me feel hopeful. Maybe we can find it in ourselves to work together, despite all the things that make us different? Maybe we can find friends in the most unlikely places? Maybe a pile of rocks can make you feel emotional? Who knows... 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 06/04/2026#21 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 05/04/2026#20 My Father is a Unicorn Come on. How can you not get interested in a stupid premise like this? It's such a wonderfully dumb and fluffy story, nothing is explained which just makes things funnier, plus the unicorn dad is absolutely adorable 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 05/04/2026#19 Noah Why the hell is Noah wearing a leather jacket and a shirt? Also this movie is so Ridley Scott coded but it's not directed by Ridley Scott??? 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 01/04/2026#18 Kakuriyo no Sennichi Hina I'm torn. On the one hand - this manga conveys all it should in the short span it has. On the other - I want to explore this world more. One more volume wouldn't hurt. I'm satisfied with what I got though 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 29/03/2026#17 Reminders of Him I don't know much about Colleen Hoover's prose, neither am I a huge fan of melodrama, but I was invested in this one fine. The romance was not needed at all, and the story still would work. Honestly, the biggest advantages of this movie are the pretty views and the kitten 100
MsSoara @mssoara.bsky.social · 27/03/2026#16 Resident Evil Village Not nearly as scary or anxiety inducing as Biohazard, but just as thrilling! I immediately got hooked on the messed up fairytale feel and enjoyed almost every single minute Lady Dimitrescu was a bit disappointing, but lots of fun Lady Beneviento and Moreau I LOVE HEISENBERG 100
