They are threatening Maine every single day. We had a school district fold to the threats just yesterday. Maine is full of rural towns that can’t afford an increase in taxes to pay for their schools. They need more than vocal support, they need the state to fill the funding gap.

What’s more helpful is to encourage people to buy local, grow as much of their own food as they can (even window planters can grow some veg), and build a community with neighbors who support each other. Panic shopping hurts all of us, specifically folks with less disposable income

Have a go bag, take a first aid class, if you can have cash on hand then have cash on hand, do not buy things because you’re bored - buy only what you need. And of course be sure you’ve got all your papers (ids/passports) and make copies both paper and on your phone. Be prepared for anything.

I suspect it’s that and the labeling during manufacturing as well as the cleaning of equipment. It’s bonkers. Sesame was just added to the list of top allergens for labeling in the last two years. As someone with ANA to several foods this is terrifying.
