My question for any congressperson, Dem and Republican alike, is this; what would a President have to do in order for you to consider impeaching/removing them? If this man's fully observable misdeeds do not amount to high crimes and misdemeanors, then what in the world does?

I have a baseline respect for journalists on an individual basis. What they do is important work, and blanket contempt for the press is generally a red flag. That said, there absolutely are bad faith journalists who mislead and downplay atrocities. I will give no flowers to the latter.

We must rely on each other. Education and outreach are the primary tools of any good volunteer organization. We need to seek out and enlist those beleaguered by the Oligarchy and its societal effects. Only together, through our collective effort, can change be realized.

Lots of folks are living paycheck to paycheck. They can't take off work, and need the off time to rest, recover, and maintain their families, homes, friendships, and hygiene. Part of the reason conservative policies aim to keep people in survival mode is because it keeps them from getting involved.

The good news to me us that new registrations are in fact near (and perhaps surpassing) record levels. In a single week in September, 550,000 new voters were registered.

Really, all our hopes are relying on the historically disengaged independent voter. Some Republicans are fleeing the ship, but most of them would rather stay home than vote D. We will have to do this mostly on the strength of new registrations, rather than flipped Republicans.

My understanding is that bras (that are not actively painful to wear in some form or another) are perilously expensive, and prohibitively hard to find. I would expect that a woman would have to have both luck and moderate means in order to acquire such a thing.

I have endless patience for other folks. I don't always have such patience with myself. And as for the amount of patience other people have with me, sometimes it's more than I deserve, and sometimes it's less.

I'm no longer in the profession, but when I was, this was my constant feeling.

I mute the ads and block my view of the entire screen, save for the skip button. When it enables, I skip and unmute. This way, there is no measurable impact of the ad. I don't even know what was marketed, much less who marketed it to me.

If I were a betting man, I'd expect about +11% Democratic national average. Maga is still a sizable chunk of the electorate, and unlike other republicans, they are highly motivated. The only variable in the size of the blue wave will be independents turning out, which is historically inconsistent.

That said, we must be prepared for the possibility that centrist dems will actively hamper any real threat to the corporatocracy. They will only do the right thing if forced to. It will be public action that shows them that the times have changed. You and me and 200 million of our closest friends.

The honest answer is that some of the folks answering the poll either don't know enough about the question and respond with "don't know," or have trouble with reading/listening comprehension (possibly due to a language barrier) and accidentally respond in the affirmative.

I'm not sure I've ever even heard him speak. I don't think most people would even know his name if conservatives and centrists didn't mention it every other sentence. They're attacking a gnat with an axe.

And it doesn't matter to me if the tool gave me incredible power to accomplish anything I could imagine; if it causes me to shrink in any way, limits my ability to be creative, learn, and think in new ways, then it is not worth whatever benefit it may potentially yield.

This right here is, imo, the greatest threat that AI poses: the damage it causes to cognitive development and skill acquisition/retention. When people tell me "think of it as a tool," I give them the benefit of the doubt. But if a tool gave me brain damage when I used it, I'd stop using it.

They say living well is the best revenge, but it's also the hardest to pull off.

Best I've seen in my lifetime is +8%. From what I've seen, we'll almost definitely exceed that this year, the real question is by how much. Last minute polling place changes, post-VRA gerrymandering, state voter ID laws will shave off a little, but the animus is everywhere and strong. Hard to say.
