I wouldn’t cancel it yet. She’s been known to lie before.

Proud of you, Senator.

Tweet by @TheDemocrats with the text: '2021: Congressman Andy Kim cleaning up our Capitol after the Jan. 6 attack. 2024: Andy Kim was sworn in as the first Asian American Senator from New Jersey and the first Korean American in the U.S. Senate.' The tweet includes two images: the first image shows Congressman Andy Kim in 2021, wearing a suit and mask, cleaning up debris in the Capitol after the January 6th attack. The second image shows Andy Kim in 2024, taking the oath of office as a U.S. Senator, with his right hand raised.

Idaho did the same thing. We’ve been running a surplus for years and wouldn’t have cost us a dime anyway.

May I not suggest My Own Private Idaho? Don’t ask.

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: "God is not dead, nor doth He sleep; The Wrong shall fail, The Right prevail, With peace on earth, good-will to men."

I heard the bells on Christmas Day Their old, familiar carols play, And wild and sweet The words repeat Of peace on earth, good-will to men! And in despair I bowed my head; "There is no peace on earth," I said; "For hate is strong, And mocks the song Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Thanks for reminding me of these often forgotten and seldom sung lyrics. I also relate to this hymn taken from a poem by HW Longfellow whose son was severely wounded in the Civil War.

I hope someday the people will realize what they lost in Sherrod Brown. One of the good guys. I wish you all well.

I’ve ordered my last thing from Amazon. I have a subscription I need to cancel. I will use up my Audible credits. The Prime TV will be hard, but I guess we’ll just have to change our viewing habits. It’s amazing how that company has ruled our lives.

Other than The Bobbsey Twins and Nancy Drew, I remember loving The Wolves of Willoughby Chase and Black Hearts On Battersea by Joan Aiken.

I read that a few years ago for a reading challenge. Definitely creepy, but deliciously so.

Sang her songs frequently with my Montessori kids. They loved “Did You Feed My Cow?” though some parents were a little freaked out by it.
