Every year our Christmas tree place gives us a free Christmas mug with our tree. We have them lined up in the cupboard every year from 2018. This year they didn't hand one out. I asked why. "Tariffs." Whether that's the reason or "profit taking" somewhere in the supply chain, makes me sad.

Just a note as we plummet towards the holidays, the current CR ends in January. If we get another CR till fiscal 2026, that's a big problem. No 💲 for new govt projects. Everything stays at 2024 levels. Lotta companies & unis counting on funding for new projects. Anyway here's a picture of a tree.

Who's driving this thing?! -- First time in a Waymo. I know there are still issues, but amazing what riding in one does to lower the skepticism level. Also, it wasn't until after this recording that I realized I could control Spotify in the car. Major bonus.

Ignoring the news of the day, here is the most fun demo I got to play with at MILCOM. Used AERPAW's (NC State U's) digital twin software to locate a beacon from a cell phone (think emergency rescue) using a drone as a base station. Located (w/game controller) via strongest signal-to-noise ratio.
