I know everyone’s jaded and exhausted by the continual parade of madness, but this is the president of US openly inciting racist violence against an entire community of immigrants. (w/ alt text)
The once Great State of Minnesota is being taken over by Somali Immigrants. There is Violence, Murder, and Mayhem all over the State. The people of Minnesota must fight back. You have been robbed, and abandoned by your State Government. Your Governor is an incompetent thief who doesn't want to get involved. He just wants to get out of town with as much as he can steal, and then, lead a quiet life. The Somalians should not be allowed to get away with what they are doing.
They view you as weak and stupid people. Fight back Minnesota, fight back! If you need, the Federal Government will come to your rescue.
Governor Tim Walz, and Mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, must immediately ask for Federal help — and leave the rest to us! President DONALD J. TRUMP

I saw a guy delivering the LJS the other day. It was one of the saddest things I've seen in a while. He drove blocks between deliveries just to float a couple sheets of paper onto a doorstep.

The #LNK Marathon scared the crap out of me with an email announcing a "new race route". Fortunately it's largely the same. No Beadle at the start; 17th instead of 16th out of Downtown; 17th instead of 10th into Downtown; trail instead of road at Holmes. www.lincolnmarathon.org/details/

The latest Cameron sculpture proposal will allow folks to sit next to him. I strongly prefer this idea over the original (which had Cameron on a pedestal). #LNK
An image of a cat sculpture sitting on a rock/bench. Two people, a mother and child, sit next to it. The Nebraska State Capitol is in the background.

Fun fact about the NCAA's college soccer rule 5.7 (video review): the rule does not require that a coach's challenge be even remotely realistic. Want a timeout? Just randomly pick a valid reason from 5.7.3 and request a review. Boom, there's your timeout.
5.7.3 Video review is permissible in the following specific situations:
5.7.3.1 Determining whether the entire ball passed over the goal line for a
																		  goal, which includes end of period timing issues;
5.7.3.2 Correcting timing errors;
5.7.3.3 Determining whether violent behavior occurred and identifying all
participants;
5.7.3.4 Correctly identifying players for disciplinary matters;
										  5.7.3.5 Determining if a direct free kick foul committed by the defending
team took place in the penalty area;
5.7.3.6 Determining if an offense punishable by a penalty kick has occurred;
5.7.3.7 Determining whether a straight red card (not a second caution)
should have been issued (the referee can upgrade the call to a straight red
card or downgrade it to a yellow card or a free kick);
5.7.3.8 Determining the proper punishment in cases of stopping a promising
attack or denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity (the referee can
examine the validity of the decision to call a foul or not and whether the
play meets the criteria for denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity or
stopping a promising attack);
5.7.3.9 Determining whether a goal should have been disallowed for an
																   offside offense. This includes plays where the call on the field resulted in
an offside call or a goal being awarded;
Note: If the referee has blown the whistle for an offside offense before the ball enters
the goal, the play is then not reviewable.
5.7.3.10 Determining whether the attacking team committed an offense,
including offside, prior to or in the process of scoring a goal; and
Note: A ball going out of bounds in the build up to a goal is not reviewable.
5.7.3.11 Determining whether the attacking team committed an offense,
including offside, prior to the award of a penalty kick or a red card for
	Denial of an Obvious Goal Scoring Opportunity.
Note: A ball going out of bounds in the build up to the penalty kick or red card
for DOGSO is not reviewable.

I'm walking the dogs. It's getting dark. Street lights are on. I decide to listen to Christian pop, because why not? I haven't heard most of this stuff in a couple decades and I'm feeling nostalgic. Michael W. Smith. Amy Grant. A song comes on that I know the chorus to. I sing quietly to myself:

That may be their explanation, but that's nonsensical. 0 on the clock doesn't mean 0.9 to 0.0, it means 0.0. "1" covers 1.0 to 0.1. That's why the clock doesn't instantly show 14:59 when the button is pressed at the start of the game. It stays at 15:00 for everything from 15:00.0 to 14:59.1.
110
Brent C. Wilson @mrwilson.lincolnite.com · 08/09/2026
How would that help in this situation? Whether the clock showed :01 or :00.1, there still would have been time on the clock and the extra play would have been allowed. Values of :00 and :00.0 are identical and always mean "we're done".
