Rockruff turns into the dogs of classic Nicktoon characters. This one's Spunky, whose Mutt matches Midday Lycanroc (even has double consonants!). Spunky is known for licking, so he has a long, wet tongue to do just that.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #rocko Rockruff turns into the dogs of classic Nicktoon characters. This one's Spike, whose Dog form matches Dawn Lycanroc. Gave him big, muddy claws to sell the ground typing.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #rugrats I did one per series up to the end of the era I watched, then Nick Jr, now we double back. It's based on a dog that showed up in the logo for Nickelodeon Movies. He evolves based on the Pokemon found first in your party
#fakemon #nickelodeon A combination of "tarantura" and "adventura". Her abdomen's angled up to align with her back and the spinnerette now on the top. There's a leaf over it for modesty. Her shiny is her cousin, Diego.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #doratheexplorer Had to handmake the ñ here for the font. Dora's a bug for dex balance and because she's a computer bug. Never forget she lives in a child's point and click video game!
#fakemon #nickelodeon #doratheexplorer Psychedlic, aurora borealis, pawprint psychic fairy dog. It looks like it could be a legendary, and I'm happy about it. Blue has never looked more powerful!
#fakemon #nickelodeon #bluesclues Psyan, a play on Cyan, gains psychic because Blue seems to always know the answer to everything. I made it float because sometimes Blue puts those pawprints in the sky and I wanted to explain it in lore.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #bluesclues The Gullah culture has a mythical creature called the Boo Hag, a skinless red creature who drinks your breath and takes your skin. This is my interpretation of that.
#fakemon #nickelodeon They're ready to go toed to toed with Politoed. Politoed's dex entries do describe its songs as angry, and if you've heard Binya Binya you'll know that RASPY is an understatement.
#fakemon #nickelodeon As said on Binywag, this idea came about before Convergent forms, but it's basically that. Binya Binya was a happy frog, so his Poliwhirl form needed a mouth.
#fakemon #nickelodeon I worked on these designs preConvergent forms, but let's assume this is that. I couldn't justify Binya Binya as any type besides Wter, and I wanted him to be a poli, so these guys were born.
#fakemon #nickelodeon I wanted to make a mon based on a muppet dragon wizard, and I wanted to name it after an anime. And here it is! It has an Earth-like mark on it because the dragon's name is Magellan, who circumnavigated the globe.
#fakemon #nickelodeon Welcome to the Nick Jr portion! This little dragon is based on Eureeka, a show so obscure that I barely know what it is. I did not do every Nick Jr show on here (Allegra's Window bested me) but this one had a ton of potential.
#fakemon #nickelodeon Only did one Avatarmon because someone drew an Avatar fake region. Aang's tail has all the type colors, and the ability's an advanced Protean where the type is added. The egg hatches with four elements in the party.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #atla It's design takes a generic ghost and gives it cool 00's teen attitude! Its shiny is based on the ghosts in the intro. Ghostbuster lets it hit Normal with Ghost and Ghost with Normal.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #dannyphantom It's a meek little freak that's Normal but looks haunted. It evolves through trading, where it's "MOLECULES WILL REARRANGE". As a teen that evolves by trading, it is mean to be a counterpart to Automateen.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #dannyphantom This is my weakest mon, it's JUST her. I get it, but I truly have no idea of how to do better. I'd LOVE someone to try.
Works like Aegislash! Physical move -> Steel/Fighting. Special->Steel/Flying. Stats flip, etc.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #mlaatr Automatot is an amalgam of most of Jenny's siblings, who are paradoxically older and younger than her. This is definitely supposed to be an in-world robot.
#fakemon #nickelodeon Physenius' plus and minus hands are based on protons and electrons to match Jimmy Neutron! His brain is like a tesla coil and shaped like his hair. And I had to give him Brain Blast!
#fakemon #nickelodeon #jimmyneutron Heiscience comes from Science and Heisenberg, who scientists know as the creator of quantum mechanics and the uncertainty principle, NOT Brian Cranston! His hair is blue to look more in line with his type.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #jimmyneutron Making mons for humans is hard. Thankfully Jimmy Neutron's head is weird enough to work with! His Hidden Ability, Neuroforce, is Ultra Necrozma's and is literally "Brain Power" in Japanese, so I just took it.
#fakemon #nickelodeon His personality doesn't really show it, but Snap is clearly designed to be a kind of masked vigilante / super hero, and not a tiny little Rosie O'Donnell-esque lollipop man. Calcite is the stone chalk is made of.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #chalkzone If you catch this guy, you can shout your name and say "got the chalk" over and over again! While clearly Snap, his face is based on Blocky, who is kind of Snap's older brother.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #Chalkzone Cosmo and Wanda if they were Clefairy/Clefable, who themselves are the prototypical fairy of Pokemon. Grant is like making a wish come true, and of course they'd also have Wish.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #fairlyoddparents Definitely a baby Pokemon (we don't know which one lays the egg!). The hair poof represents the metronome finger (like Togekiss' wings), and it pulls inspo from Clefairy and Jigglypuff.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #fairlyoddparents In reference to "The Tallest", only size XL Irkens can evolve into Elevader. This means that they're all also XL...which also means their models are small by default?
#fakemon #nickelodeon #invaderzim It took very little to make an Irken look recognizable yet more bug and alien like. They make the perfect RPG grunt. The shiny is based on Tak.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #invaderzim Trespest is a tiny little mite, a horrible little bug that works best in swarms. Their Dex entry references the Ren & Stimpy mon, Vulgrub, due to how gross and adult these two shows were.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #invaderzim The Pikaclone is Ginger Foutley! No other show felt right.Spongebob's popular, but I'm not making him a rodent. Rocko's fine, but I wanted him to have a full line. Ginger seems at home as a cute 1-stage rodent.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #astoldbyginger I think this gender-based evolution works great, even beyond my Burmy inspirations. Reggie was wellrounded and didn't fit one sport over another. It is the fastest of hte bunch.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #rocketpower The last Radigull is Otto, and he doesn't need shoes where he's goin'. He ends up being the most "seagully" of the crew, even if his hair maybe doesn't make the most sense.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #rocketpower Sam, aka Squid, represents field hockey. I imagine all parts of his "armor" to just be fashioned plates of rock, like Rhyperior's. Even his skates are little rock n roll rolly rocks.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #rocketpower Twister gets to be the Snowboarding Radigull! He makes blocks of ice to sled downon, and I had his dex reference his love of film making. I think his colors worked the best for a Pokemon.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #rocketpower Shoegull's based on "Shoobies" and seagulls. Their shoes are based on where they faint (like Burmy) AND they have a gender evolution (also like Burmy). Their tails are little rockets because #RocketPower
#fakemon #nickelodeon Never forget that Eliza Thornberry's mouth is on her CHIN. I made her a lil berry in the style of Bounsweet and Smoliv.
#fakemon #nickelodeon Coloquially they become "Canilef" when they flip, but that's not as important as their type switching each turn like Morpeko's. I imagine them just flipping upside down with a little hop.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #catdog Fire and Ice for Catdog! I think Cat's constant anger fit just a bit better with Fire type. Dog could have also been water because of his propensity for licking, but I wanted more Ice types.
#fakemon #nickelodeon I went hard on the "angry" portion of Angry Beavers. Daggett's spikes really add menace, and Norbert's messy hair implies craziness.
#fakemon #nickelodeon The first single stage Pokemon is Paperay, like Paper+Hooray+HEY. Henry and June from Kablam were comic book characters who promoted and introduced new cartoons, hence their signature ability.
#fakemon #nickelodeon He's a banana, like in "Downtown as Fruits". I made him psychic to reference Arnold's emotional intelligence and him going CRAZY on Harold one of the first episodes.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #heyarnold Still piggy, but now bipedal. His name Plantine is like Plantain and Teen, but also serene to match Arnold's TYPICALLY laidback attitude. Just imagine his hair as thick beach grass.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #heyarnold Besides making a good name, Pigleaf is based on Arnold's pig Abner and another part of Hey Arnold lore we'll see later. He's also a pig because he's literally a football now.
#fakemon #nickelodeon #heyarnold I wanted to emphasize here how scary Klasky Csupo designs were, even outside of his series. It has parts of Ickis, Krumm, and Oblina, and a dash of King from Deltarune.
#fakemon #nickelodeon The monsters of Aaahh Real Monsters are simply too close to real Pokemon to be made individually. They're LITERALLY monsters! So I combined them into this little imp named Boogah. I think he's just the cutest little guy!
