Pikmin 3 Deluxe got updated today for the Nintendo Switch 2. According to Digital Foundry, it always used to render at 720p on Switch (and thus Switch 2, right image). Now, however, in handheld mode, the resolution seems to have gotten a significant boost to 1080p (left image).

Square Enix and a former developer called "zeo", released a beta-update for "Order of War". It contains a fix for the Out of Memory error. I need to do more testing as the patch might actually contain many fixes as it was compiled from the latest source code. See: steamcommunity.com/games/Ordero...

Follow-up to bsky.app/profile/mrtn... This previously added empty 2950342 depot, now contains actual encrypted files. This depot has a different size than the regular one. No known packages linked to this new depot and existing owners will not own it. Maybe a future Japanse language-exclusive build?

It honestly amazes me that Rockstar has updated all their mobile ports over the last two years or so to make them work fully again on recent smartphones. I know Rockstar does it as part of promoting their GTA+ subscription and that these ports are sometimes flawed. Still, many publishers don't.

Already available on Switch 1, PS5 and Xbox SX|S, today "RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic" (2017) released for Switch 2, Xbox One and PS4. It features an increase in resolutio and mouse mode support on Switch. Developed by Graphite Lab, who have been updating the Android, iOS, macOS and Windows ports.

After the 2016 delisting of "The Sims Medieval" and its "Pirates and Nobles" DLC from Steam in 2016, EA App still sold the game. Checked to confirm myselfl; the game and its DLC sadly got also delisted from EA App a few days ago. Feels weird after EA brought The Sims 1 & 2 back in January 2025.

Call of Duty Moderns Warfare (MW) II (2022) received an update today. MWI (2019) also received an update again yesterday. Changes made through these patches are unknown as Activision never releases patch notes for older titles. Could just be maintenance for online play and/or anti-cheat.

Doom Eternal's Steam version got an update today that only affect modding. It upgraded the Electron version the launcher is based on (likely for security) and the binary files (doomSandBox) that are only used when starting the game with mods. The mod-tools (idStudio) also received an update today.

"Darksiders Warmastered Edition" will be getting a new update for the PC version somewhen in the future, as announced by a THQ community manager. This will likely bring some yet unknown fixes made for the today-released PS5 and Xbox Series X|S ports of the game to the PC.

Since 20th of April 2026, for "Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed", unknown changes have been pushed to Steam backend every work-day around the exact same time (22:40 UTC, build-system uploading a new testbuild?) I suspect THQ is working on a new update.

I suspect that 2K is looking into either updating or deprecating the Linux port of Bioshock Infinite (BI). - Janaury 2026: creation of proton_test branch for Linux with the description "Windows Executable Test" - April 2026: qatest2 branch revival. Other Bioshock games show no recent changes.

Due to some recent NDA-breaking leaks (screenshots and gameplay), we likely know that the next Team17's Worms game will likely be a 3D XCOM-like title. Every Worms game got an empty "unused" Steam depot added on January 5th, 2026. Unknown what this means or if this could result in anything at all.
