BAD #UX: Display a window, which has a mode button. When you switch modes, move the mode button, and maybe hide it in some bid to declutter the display. This is awful UX. Worse yet if it's a bug in the UI Library.

“Real humans don’t use em dashes” is one of the dumber takes in the world. Given that AIs train on human made writing, where do you suppose they got that habit from? The use of em dashes is only a curious usage when the writer isn’t a professional. Even then, it’s only one clue.

Compiling a #rust codebase: Downloaded 196 crates (17.3MiB) in 4.45s (largest was `linux-raw-sys` at 2.5MiB) It's a nontrivial program, to be sure, but given the current climate in the #OSS world wrt packages and burned out maintainers, this seems like quite a large attack surface.

I have read "the law" for perhaps 100 hours, in the form of reading the City regulations of various places I have lived, viral funny Court opinions, various postings about the law on Twitter and Bluesky by actually practicing lawyers, and various spicy passages from Title 17 of the Federal Code.
