She’s not a crop artist…she is a crop art advisor (to me). She pushes me to be better.

I’ll be heading back to take a serious look at this piece!

There is no end to Charlotte’s talent!

Thanks for the shout out Christy!

I had not noticed this piece at the Fair and I do not know why. It is drop dead gorgeous!

Looking forward to the show.

RIP, Dolly Parton. On the final day of the fair—I brought the unfinished piece to share with people waiting in the long lines. While I might experiment with soaking and curling wheat shafts in the future, she will likely remain unfinished as I do not have plans to submit this next year.

I do like attention! Thank you.

Today, lines seemed shorter. I stood for just over an hour. Thursday morning the line was 2.5 to 3 hours long and Crop Art staff were spreading word that afternoon lines are considerably shorter. One reason for longer lines is that the Fire Marshall shut down the fast lane after the first day.

Did she also just set the record for the largest number of crop art portraits of one person in a year?

What type of paint? High flow acrylics, fluid acrylics, spray paint, etc.? I know I can experiment and figure it out but looks to me like I might as well learn from your experience!

I do love Crop Art at the MN State Fair…

I guess I haven’t seen it with hulls yet.

Dead serious…but, honestly, I’d go get in line too.

This is an incredible piece. Such rich colors, and I love the composition. It is an eye catcher.

Just courious…How long did you stand in line to see the MN State Fair crop art exhibit?

Poor American cattle farmers…

That piece is super impressive!

I’ll look forward whatever you can get to, whenever it is possible. 1 picture a day over the next two years! I a stare at a single section of wall for 20 minutes and still not retain what I just saw. Its overwhelming.

Gosh, WAIT you don’t get special dispensation for access after hours????

All great but I thought that cityscape was AMAZING.

That might fit together without leaving awkward spaces??? Maybe? One problem I had with quinoa is that they seemed to swell a little with the glue and then travel a little as the glue dried and if you keep an eye on it, those can be moved when semi dry by pushing. Hmmm.

I have not done a ton with pearl barley. I will need to find a new style of crop art given that my mainstay was quinoa. I liked they were smallish and round and flat and came in three colors. Easy to paint. Sugar, life is about to change.

Ya, I could see there were an incredible number of hours in that!

Thee to six people should submit their quilts together and enter as a collection!

It's the main draw over there. Why?

Thanks for the Crop Art shout-out!

The Crop Art at MN State Fair is more incredible than I expected, and I expected A LOT. 600 entries, an overwhelming number to peruse. For me, Twine Ball, Blue, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Last Day in the Park with Quinoa, red, The Spectacle, white. Witness, MIA Honorary Mention

Ya, the long wait is for crop art. Scarecrows was an in and out for us at 10 am yesterday

MRSPOURS @mrspours.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Congrats! spectacular piece!

I'm just glad we have this art form that allows us to express ourselves.

MN State Fair counted 595 Crop Art entries for 2026 (430 last year).

Ditto…we are coming in to see everything today…but taking our sweet time.

MRSPOURS @mrspours.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

I am headed to the State Fair today to see all the crop art in a newly configured space. Tip for those who will be heading there too in coming days, I have heard from reliable sources that the Crop Art queue will start outside near the Skyride. See you there!

To me, it's a matter of morality, not politics. The image itself, focusing on the shocking innocense shattered by terrorist action. Murder and mayhem that is in fact questioned by political thinking in my personal extended family. It's gutting.

We should be taking bets on how many times I have misspelled Stroozas…..seriously. I think I have it right, and then I look back and it is wrong. My apologies to all the Stroozas in the world.
