I've had this rant percolating for a while, so here goes. Mrs. crabMOUTH and I just returned from a great trip in Vietnam and Cambodia. It was a river cruise on the Mekong, and we did pre- and post-excursions in Hanoi and Saigon.

I just took the best shower I have ever taken in my life after wandering around Saigon in 86 degree heat and 95% humidity for several hours. We head home to Vermont tomorrow, and while I have had the time of my life, I look forward to fall weather and my own bed.

This afternoon we visited Banteay Srei, “Citidel of Women.” Most of the buildings are made from red sandstone, which is very hard, so the buildings are in very good shape.

We are staying at a VERY swanky hotel in Siem Reap. An important diplomat from Myanmar (president? Prime Minister-in-exile?) is staying here. Lots of pissed off looking SE Asian dudes with earpieces and suspicious bulges in their jackets are everywhere.
