#ghibli #movies #promosky Don't think I talked about it much, but I absolutely love Ghibli movies. My bff and I have been walking through Miyazaki's filmography the last few years, with only two movies left now, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, the big ones. So far, my personal top-3 are these.

#movies #ghibli My bff and I continued watching Miyazaki with Porco Rosso. One of my bff's favorites for aviation. To me, it has similar vibes as Kiki's Delivery Service, grounded yet a bit mythical, low stakes, though this one's much more adventurous with darker undercurrents. Better to be a pig…

#games #sonic Once or twice people should play a game that isn't perfect, but can be broken in many different ways that make it even more fun and kinda hilarious to play. Sonic of 2000s has it in spades and lowkey I love that aside from story and hype, Frontiers revival… also kinda breaks at times😅

#anime #ghibli Funny story, my bff and I have contrasting opinions about two Miyazaki films. The Wind Rises is something I consider odd and weird while he loves it; The Boy and the Heron is something he considers odd and weird while I love it. I think these movies fit us, oddly enough.

Mystic Mansion traumatized little me. Yeah, for the most part it's kinda chill and mysterious, but then there's this final section with freaky TV static. Yeah, I vote Mystic Mansion for most memorable.

Fun fact, there are actually two Human Meteors out there. The one I posted is of Centaur Publications, while the other one, more stylish but also more "by numbers", with kid sidekick and such, came from Harvey Comics.

#comics #writing Four horsemen of terrible superhero names from Golden Age. - Black Kitten. - Human Meteor. - Little Giant. - Speed Centaur. Guess which one had the longest comic run?

So, my gf and I checked out various merch shops around… me: "Why is Luffy between Blackbeard's legs?" gf: "He's the freest man alive, he sits wherever he wants."

#writing #superhero One thing that's motivated me to conceptualize #dlisters setting as it is, is major superhero universes being so USA-centered (or Japan-centric like MHA) when it's implicit stuff happens abroad. So I decided "important stuff happens EVERYWHERE".

#art #digitalart #characterdesign #superhero #oc Last major piece of #dlisters lore for now! For each light, there's a shadow. While it seems that villains of the world each stand on their own, there are whispers of worldwide network of evil, Cerberus Association, led by seven Rank A villains.

Share a game you’ve never played but love the Art Style Never got around to playing Pizza Tower yet, but man I love how zany and insane it looks, Wario Land on steroids and all. Yet I heard it's also surprisingly coherent and sensible during gameplay.

#art #digitalart #characterdesign #superhero #oc Another major piece of lore for #dlisters! Founded by seven Rank A heroes from across the world, led by Supernova, the Sentinel Guild is the worldwide hero organization, protecting the innocents of the world.

#art #digitalart #characterdesign #superhero #oc A major piece of lore for #dlisters! In my original sketch manga it was a team of teen heroes of North America, but after a rework, now when I say America, I mean AMERICA, these guys get around, even if their HQ is in Minnesota.

I'm a sucker for art shifts and watching Kung Fu Panda 2 reminded me of the good old "different artstyle for backstories, legends and dreams" trick. Some of my favorites: - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows PT1 - Resident Evil: Village

Sonic Heroes. As a 6-year old kid (I think?), I saw an episode of Sonic X accidentally and a bit later I saw the same hedgehog on a game cover. Grabbed it, played it, had my world SHOOKETH with colorful, loud, action-packed tons of happenings.

My gf's mom gifted her a few A4 sketchbooks, the type we call "albums" and often use in schools. Rather handy, though a bit unwieldy compared to A5 sketchbooks we tend to use. Oh, the irony of these things' covers being so obviously AI-generated it hurts our eyes😭

#art #digitalart #characterdesign #superhero #oc New piece of my #dlisters lore. Black Wing is part of Diotima Team and, being very conservative, he has opinions about city's general debauchery, being US Capital of Love AND Red Lights. His older brother is a master thief, one of team's villains.

My gf came to visit and brought lots of gifts I don't know where to put!😭 There's a bunch of tiny #demonslayer figurines, a whole pack of Gyutaros (and a plush Gyokko) and, most notably, a big figurine of #shamanking protag, Yoh!

#art #digitalart #characterdesign #superhero #oc Some fresh lore for my #dlisters setting. Diotima City is the American Capital of Love, free-spirited and sensual. Its premiere corporation, TomaTech, formed a team of heroes to both provide the place with security and to get some sweet publicity.

#games #promosky Today on games I like, Kirby Canvas Curse. A tricky one to complete with its unusual gameplay, but I enjoyed the challenge. Also, finale might be one of my favorites with absolutely freaky World of Drawcia and the introduction of Soul forms. Love Drawcia and her art theme.

Like quite a few #dlisters characters, Shape was originally a character I borrowed from public domain, but, honestly, his original design was so cool and striking, I barely had to add onto it.

#art #digitalart #characterdesign #superhero #oc Introducing a brand-new character for my #dlisters setting! Shape is a shapeshifting bioandroid from Czechia, a completely accidental creation of Professor Scuba S. Duba. He's got mentality of a kid, but is a valued member of Nova Europe team.

#games #promosky #megaman #mmz Today on games I love, Mega Man Zero 4. I... never actually finished other three games, because they were hard as nail and kicked my behind. MMZ4 has Easy Mode and THANK GOODNESS. It's so cool, area effects are cool, finale is epic, and the music, THE MUSIC. Love it.

#characterdesign #pepsiman Rather curious how Pepsiman has two separate designs… and BOTH made appearances in videogames, original red for Fighting Vipers and iconic blue for Pepsiman's own game. I am PERFECTLY NORMAL about this can man mascot and certainly didn't watch 1-hour documentary on him.

#cartoon #transformers Today on shows I liked, The Transformers, original series. Perfectly cheesy and enjoyable, didn't expect it to hold up so well, but my inner child loved Season 1. Liked Hound, the entirety of Fire in the Sky and, of course, I loved Optimus Prime, may Mr. Cullen rest in peace.
