iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Mr M took me to #LuxMuralis at Durham Cathedral this evening, to take my mind off a difficult week. There were two or three bottlenecks of crowds which I couldn’t cope with, so we didn’t see the whole thing. But the parts we did see were creative and thought-provoking.

I’ve been thinking about this and your interpretation would make sense, Jacqui. Thank you. It’s been hugely impactive on me because of past bullying and abuse from Difficult Parent. Some people might shrug off such an encounter. But not me. 😢

But they refused any money. They were so aggressive and angry. Alcohol maybe? I don’t know. I am scared now to go out of my own front door or into my own garden.

They do throw toys over the fence but we just throw them back. We’ve never ever been accused before of something like this. I think either the dog must’ve got hold of the toy or perhaps it landed on one of our rose bushes and got sliced by a prickle. I even offered to pay for a replacement. 😢

Omg just had a hideous encounter with our weirdo neighbours next door, who were actually waiting on the doorstep for us to get home. They accused us of ‘slashing’ their child’s toy with a knife after it was thrown into our garden. Dear God. I’ve never heard anything like it. I’m still shaking.

Thanks, Nita. It feels such a waste of her senior years, lurching between crises until her behaviours eventually make her so unwell that a court will at last allow her family to intervene. It’s a hideous situation really. xx

Thanks. It is. It seems sister and I can do nothing but wait until she no longer has capacity to make her own decisions - when an intervention to get her out of the situation she’s in might be possible. But what a terrible thing to have to wait for. All because she is abusive & alienates everyone.

I can’t describe how it makes me feel, hearing the clinking of the glass being refilled and the avid gulping, on the phone to Difficult Parent in the evenings. I don’t know what to do and my sister just laughs humourlessly and shrugs.

Thanks. You know what it’s like with the constant background anxiety. She’s at home, but it’s only a matter of time before something else happens because she’s drinking to excess alone there - and nobody seems able to do anything about it. At least she has a key safe and care visits twice a day 😔

They’ve got a practice of adjusting bills on a monthly basis - if you don’t want your direct debit to go up, you have to manually change it back each month from whatever they set it to. Or that’s what I found, with them. 😖
