I hope I'm wrong, but I think mass deportations are just the prelude. The government is deporting people because they don't look European and don't have "enough" documentation during a random stop. They're sending them to any country that will jail them, no matter their actual status.

I feel sorry for the people who paid to be there in person. I worked a football game that candidate for VP Cheney attended. The Secret Service protection made it impossible for some vendors to even have space, and exits were closed off. Sitting Presidents don't attend in person for a reason.

I think this is part of why Musk wants to do away with a lot of consumer protection agencies. If they're gone, he can just use litigation stall tactics with anyone who might want actual products that work without trying to kill you. After all, he doesn't have ALL the wealth yet.

The least we should have done is kept health insurance companies from being publicly traded. Once the company is publicly traded, the first concern has to be the stockholders. (Dodge vs. Ford Motor Co, 1919.) We really need to have universal healthcare, but public trading has screwed us all.

We live in a rural area. We had a black cat that we thought had mental issues. One time she'd run up for pets, the next day she'd hiss and swat. Then we figured out we had 2 identical black cats. (Think they were litter mates.) Both now have homes.

One reason we have this mess is because when the Tea Party started, the Koch Brothers subverted them.
