Don't confuse "wealth" with "super-wealth". The wealthy already pay their fair share because their wealth generally comes from earnings. But the super-wealthy pay nothing because they earn very little on paper. They instead make money with their money — which isn't taxed because we only tax earnings

Spanish govt to implement tax deduction in fuel to cushion the blow of increased fuel costs. Tax reduced from 21 to 10% and excise duty on hydrocarbons suspended; leads to an immediate reduction in the price of diesel & petrol of between 30 & 40 cents per liter the SER reported.

It’s no wonder the majority of the public want to rejoin the EU - isolation has cost us our freedoms and has devestated the economy. The future must be European if we are serious about repairing the damage.
