It's been fun to track my summer reading and participate in a couple of challenges. Not sure how many more great books will be read before going back at the beginning of September, but I'm sure a few more at least! #amreading #summerreading #30Booksin3Months #BookADay

Wow! Watching the second episode of the second season of Shiny Happy People... hard to know what to even say. So many traumatized people in the name of religion. #ShinyHappyPeople

It's taken me longer to fill one graphic for this #30Booksin3MonthsSummerReadingChallenge this year than it has other years and that's perfectly OK! June was slow with the end of the school year - top row of the graphic. Have enjoyed all kinds of books! #amreading @jessicabrodyauthor.bsky.social

Can't wait to share this one in the fall with students as I know some who will already love this one and anyone who loves verse sure will! A timely topic and incredibly loveable characters you'll feel for! Be sure to pick this one up! #amreading #summerreading @baronchrisbaron.bsky.social

Graphic with a review of the book Spark by Chris Baron (a a picture of the cover) that I finished last night and loved. Review says "This is a moving middle grade book that is unfortunately timely being partly about wildfires and the environment, but it’s also about hope, regrowth, family, friends, community and being there for people in need in a multitude of ways. Written in beautiful verse giving the space for all the emotion in this one! Chris Baron is an auto buy for me!"

A grpahic of library stats at the school this year like 19,644 books checked out and 6,393 of them being graphic novels. 363b books added to the collection and then special programs, divisions with the most titles out and most popular books.

This new @annbraden.bsky.social book Into the Rapids isn't out until May 13th this year, but be sure to get your hands on it once it is. I read it as my last book of 2024, but it has definitely stayed with me and I look forward to hopefully listening to an audiobook version when it comes out! #mglit

Book cover for Ann Braden's with words describing the story around it: family, storm, adventure, grief, mental health, trust, survival camp, friendship. Text: Loved this and found it hard to put down! Such a tender way of dealing with grief and loss as well as family, friendship and mental health while also creating a story charged with action, adventure and character growth! And what a great message: live life as fully as you can!! This one has stayed with me. By @mrscheidrich.bsky.social

@davidarobertson.bsky.social's All the Little Monsters is a powerful book about anxiety and how it shows up for him and how he deals with it, but also how it connects so many. Thank you for sharing and helping people to understand and to normalize. Much of it was very relatable for me. #mentalhealth
