Today we were visited by what we think is a Hummingbird Hawk Moth! While he hovered (so cool omg!!) he also moved about very quickly and was so hard to photograph but these are my attempts. He's in a container because he came in the house and couldn't find the exit so we escorted him out :)

A close up photo of an orange brown moth inside a plastic container. He is difficult to see. In the background, distorted by the container is a man with a heavily patterned shirt on, which is not helping with how hard it is to see the moth. He looks lovely though.

Some photos I've taken recently 🥰

Two chickens eat grass, with a large bush as the background. In the foreground you can see a close up of a black dog and three of her legs covering most of the image and one of the chickens.

Teddy watched The Lizzie McGuire movie for the first time tonight. He shared some cucumber with Francis as his movie snack, but then I got some mint ice cream so he had some dried peppermint forage. Hopefully he enjoyed it (because this won't be the last time he sees it 🤣)

A white and orange guinea pig is in the center of the image on a blue towel, with a clear bag of hay behind him. He is very cute and has a lovely pink nose.

I've been on a quest to find a not horrible flavoured milk from a not horrible company and I was very excited to stumble on this today.

Hello! I got logged out of bluesky a month ago and thanks to help from support I'm finally back in! Hope you've all been doing well :)

The face of a black Belgian Shepherd fills the frame. You can see the tip of her tiny tongue under her nose. Her name is Lilith and she's a cutie!

I hope 2025 was at least bearable, and I desperately hope 2026 is kind and full of love for you all. Happy New Year ❤️

I really miss my little area of the internet I exist on, and I desperately miss streaming, so I really hope 2026 is the year I'm well enough to enjoy those things again. When I am back I hope some of you will want to join me and have many wonderful things to tell me about what you've been up to :)

Most of the photo is of a white faced guinea pig with a pink nose, sitting in my chest while Daniel can be seen in the background streaming building a lego set. The guinea pig is Teddy.

His older companion had passed away and he was so desperate for new friends, which he fond instantly in Francis and Rhys. Teddy has been an absolute joy and our three boys are doing wonderfully together. Him joining our family has been by far the easiest part of 2025, and for that I am very thankful

Three guinea pigs sit next to each other and eat forage from a plate. They're on a dark green fleece covered in art of guinea pigs. There are toys and other objects everywhere.

To end on a much nicer note, due to fears of losing Rhys as a result of losing Robert (as he completely shut down when we lost Kenny) and that leaving Francis not only dealing with losing his two companions, but also leaving him alone, we brought Teddy into our family.

Teddy, a white and orange guinea pig with pink nose, ears and toes sits to the left of his new brother, Francis, a black guinea pig with a white stripe down his face and white on his side. They're on a dark green fleece covered in art of guinea pigs.

We made many plans at the end of 2024 & throughout 2025 to make our lives better and while some significant positive changes where made, It's honestly been hard to appreciate them during such a difficult time, & our time & energy was limited meaning bigger, & better changes were just not possible

A green plant fills the bottom of the photo, above that a man (Daniel) wears a white hat and sits on grass surrounded by chickens.

This is all a combination of bad genetics, and bad luck, but it's also worth noting that all of these wonderful animal companions were rescued from... we'll say less than ideal circumstances which always adds an extra complication to their health and best outcomes.

A person (me) with long wavy red hair is on the left of the photo and on the right is a chicken (Holly)

On top of this my wonderful Daniel has been providing round the clock care to Rhys due to depression from losing Kenny, then for recovery from marsupialisation surgery and now support as we deal with his jaw ossifying. There are no words for how much I adore Rhys and how difficult I've found this.

Rhys, a black guinea pig, sits on my shoulders on a black fluffy hoodie. The photo is of a person from the side, wearing white headphones, their face not in shot. Red hair in a plait goes over the back of the white chair back on the left of the photo. Lots of heart shaped emoji are at the top. Two smaller hearts are next to where Rhys is hiding. He loves sitting like this.

we rushed her to emergency care, and finally our Robert to Kidney and Liver failure at the end of the year.

We lost our Diana to Cancer, Cora after two surgeries (removal of her eye and ovaries) and months of daily care, Holly to Egg peritonitis, Kenny during surgery for the removal of a tumour, Midge to a horrific prolapse involving us having to support her and her intestines separately as...

Last Monday Brie had surgery for a prolapse she had on the Saturday. She got an implant to stop her laying in the hope we could prevent this from happening again. Sleeping in our bedroom and medicine 3x per day. Today she passed away in Daniels arms. We're heartbroken.
