Hi @jamellebouie.net - I'm doing an event in Charlottesville next week related to my book "Talk To Your Boys." It's free and open to the public. Could you spread the word to folks you know who are raising/teaching boys? Thank you! RSVP: www.stab.org/connect/insp...
I am so excited to be heading to Virginia at the end of the month, where I’ll be giving a talk as part of the Booth Family Inspiration Speaks Series at St. Anne’s-Belfield School. It’s free and open the community.

From the event page:

Parents of boys, do you struggle with talking to your tweens and teens in today’s high-tech world of gaming and social media? Join us for a TED-style talk with award-winning health educator, speaker, and bestselling author Christopher Pepper. He’ll expain how parents can break through the digital noise and remain engaged in their sons’ lives as they move into young adulthood.

Drawing on his experience leading health groups and his widely-celebrated curriculum used around the world, Pepper will share practical strategies and actionable scripts, providing parents with the confidence to tackle the big topics with clarity and warmth.

Free and open to the public.

post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, pearl jam, soundgarden, or Alice In Chains. “Dig Me Out” is the one for me. Not sure I’ve ever loved a band as intensely as I loved Sleater-Kinney in 1997.

@jfschroeder.bsky.social and I wrote “Talk To Your Boys” in large part because we saw so many parents opting out of necessary conversations with tween and teen boys. It’s meant to be a “no, you’re not done here!” push.

I’m a much bigger fan of the “motivate people who don’t always vote to get out there” strategy than the “become more conservative to win undecided voters” strategy.
