I use Eagle Library, which is a one-time paid program that has a robust tagging system (However I don't like their pivot into AI tools :/ ) A free alternative is Allusion! A bit more stripped down, but their tagging features is great! allusion-app.github.io#download

3-10 at a time depending on the drawing. If I were asked to draw, say a kneeling post. I would pull up different variations of the pose I want to draw. It's good to have options!

I don't think it's enough to say that "using reference is NOT cheating", Using reference is just as integral to the art process as the brushes you use. Save the pics you like, organize them by pose, composition or whatever, and pull them up when it's relevant! I LOVE references!

The number of art pieces, photos, books and tutorials, that I've saved on Eagle Library.

nobody is born with information in their heads. If you don't know what something is, you look it up right? Same applies to art. If you never drew a something before, why would you put yourself through the pain of drawing it from memory? You never made the memory to begin with.

imo "visual library" doesn't mean "photographic memory" either. It's the ability to know how to parse information from a reference and apply it to your own art. And you can only do that by consistently using reference. The more arms you look at, the easier it is to break them down.

80% of art skill is having a visual library. And that requires frequently collecting references of the things you want to draw. Photos, poses, other artists you're influenced by. Avoid guessing while you draw. That's and easy way to get mad at drawing. Unless you're Kim Jung Gi, you will use refs.

I've always been familiar with the complement of my work being considered "hot" but twice today I've had my recent work be described specifically as "erotic". idk why but it's got me blushing and kicking my feet Like it technically means the same thing but also something more? I dunno thank you 👉👈

Terf shit aside, this trend feels so much like an industry plant. I've heard it be compared to Petra Parker, but at least that was an inspired concept and people were engaging with the character on a narrative level. I feel nothing behind these depictions of this wizard character.

Keep practicing, but dont forget that playfulness is a big part of what will make you successful as an artist. Not how perfectly you understand perspective. Besides, youre structure is pretty solid anyway.

You can absolutely fall into "fundamental purgatory" where you spend so much time practicing that you dont create anything. Practicing things like boxes and planes won't magically unlock the "good art" perk. It's the idea you create that make you good, the stories you tell.
