Transit oriented development in action. People thought McLean Station on the Silver Line was underused. But as Capital One Tower went back to office, this is a train of knowledge workers jammed, queued to exit, every morning I come to go the other way. #wmata #virginia

Guys, I think the WSJ found the smoking gun of what happened to the American Dream starting in the late 70s/early 80s , and guys, it wasn’t immigrants.

Apropos of literally nothing, an AI image of Albert Einstein first with hair combed, and then clean shaven, reminds us how physical iconography matters for many famous people.

I’m far from a “shadow stats” bro but your schtick on real wage growth is myopic. It is true they are up. It is also true, for example, that credit card and consumer delinquency is up since 2022. Why are all these real wage winners going delinquent?

Depends if you think these swings are “stability”. A big thing is also that the share of pop under housing cost burden was reducing through 2019 and is getting worse since the pandemic. So yeah, more people are spending high % of $ now than a few years ago.

Pew has different results from NAR which asks the question differently and shows people preferring walkability. So not sure that the pew table here is definitive. Also even if it were it suggests we neglect a gigantic market segment as we tend to only provide for one form by and large.

Got my diploma in the mail. While I'm very proud, somehow for some reason they spelled my surname in ALL CAPS GOTHIC BLOCK FONT. Which, tbh, is metal AF. I have also attached a rendition of this band's t-shirt from 1983

My whole portfolio in these positions since last Tuesday. Various inverses, two big puts, and some gold and Germany for mild diversification. I saw this coming and it was not hard to see.

New net migration just dropped. My main takeaways: Miami has now hit its inevitable limits, and now joins the major out-migration club as the region doesn't build enough housing and has priced itself out. Minneapolis bucks the "old and cold" trend, likely on willingness to build more housing.

If people think 80s neo-Egyptian decor is as gauche, they’re wrong. The worst was the design aesthetic elder millennials had to suffer growing up with. I’m sorry ppl are nostalgic for this, but this was just bad taste. Like the 90s Arizona Diamondbacks and Anaheim Mighty Ducks uniforms.

Likewise, I (investment). How many stupid investments are made? Like, consider when Jaguar paid millions for some marketing firm to make this logo I could’ve made for $15 and MS Paint. I think it’s stupid and a waste. But it’s still GDP!

Wtf?! So my Roku has a cool backdrop app that shows me art (I set it to Art Institute of Chicago). And I did a jump scare when I saw this one. Apparently “James Vibert, Sculptor” by Ferdinand Hodler (1907).
