Hey @news.abc.net.au, maybe you should look into this. There may have potentially been an Australian tourist in the planned attack radius. Or better still, a cafe owner who knows someone here. #auspol

If you are wondering why it is so warm. El Nino has made an area of the ocean greater than the size of the USA an average temperature of 30.5c. This huge bath tub is warming the whole planet up by 0.5c and some places by 1.5-2c.

If climate talks cannot stop new coal and gas, what are they for?
The evidence is all around. Heat, fires, storms and droughts are not warnings of a future threat. They are symptoms of an unfolding crisis.

And again, the UN is helpless because the USA won't stop vetoing any kind of action against Israel. We must reform the UN, remove the paternalistic Security Council and their veto rights. Between them the US & Russia/ former USSR responsible for UN inactivity during Rwanda, Bosnian war, etc. #auspol

So I plead with some of you who stand in the way of drug law reform. Don't contribute to more deaths due to your moralising laws that contribute to corruption and death. Capitalism will always find a way. Aussies love their drugs so Aussies will supply them So let's legalise regulate and tax Cheers

MrLiquid @mrliquid.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
If you don't want others to take drugs advocate that as your position. I don't want people paying for the industrialised torture and killing of animals for profit and taste but I won't be making meat eating illegal You'll still do it but the meat will be supplied from dodgy sources and ppl will die

MrLiquid @mrliquid.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
Know its risks and put in place a regular health check to maintain your drug access card. Most users will be happy to have a clean regular supply of their favourite substance, it'll be taxed and checked like alcohol. Now if you don't want to take drugs then don't.

MrLiquid @mrliquid.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
All drugs including pharmaceuticals killed 2,600. 2000 of those deaths were accidental, that's higher than the road toll. Legalising all drugs will reduce these accidental deaths. Legalise and regulate. I propose a similar situation that is used for poisons, do a course to handle that product..

MrLiquid @mrliquid.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
enemy number 1 on the roads while alcohol users can have residual amounts in their system without penalty. Does that seem equitable? Im not arguing that you should use drugs, I don't think they should be advertised. Alcohol kills 1700 directly and contributes to 9,000 deaths a year in Australia.

I personally love taking drugs, it's fun and energising and uplifting too. At 60 I'm a once a year guy for class A drugs but daily for cannabis. I've not had a car accident since I reversed into a jaguar in 1996 but I always have some trace cannabis in my system. Laws as they currently stand make me

..that year from it. That same year 40 people died from horse riding accidents. What is the bigger danger? I ask shouldn't we shoot all the ponies especially if it can save the life of one poor child? Risk is part of life, being aware of the risks is being responsible.

8. Drugs are dangerous. So are cars, ladders, sky diving, cave diving, heavy impact sports like boxing, MMA and rugby but they aren't illegal. We mitigate the risk not ban the activity. Professor Nutt in the UK was asked about the dangers of MDMA, he replied that it is, 4 people had died in the UK..
