I didn’t mean to appear dismissive. Rank and file soldiers mostly lean Trumpy, and those who don’t elect not to get into it. Most of the time. But in moments of disagreement, both sides tend to back away to avoid personal conflict. They depend on each other.

If you look at that part of the world, nearly every country is a post-WWI creation with a political overlay on tribal and religious cultures. Israel is the only one with a full democracy and vibrant economy.
