And Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbinder are in it, in CGI form? What the fuck?

And then at the end, it suddenly has a scent that feels like the start of a final act but is instead the end of the movie. When it's being Tremors in Korea, it's pretty entertaining. But you absolutely cannot take it seriously.

Just came out of a screening of Hope and I feel like I just got Punked. Starts off as a Cloverfield style monster movie. Then it stops for 5 minutes so a man can give a long description of his bowel issues. Then it becomes an alien monster movie.

Kat's citizenship has just been approved. So she just has to swear allegiance to the King and then she's fully legit.

He wants a policy based on need and "cultural fit". That is a very loaded phrase that sounds like something out of the Goebbels playbook.

Fairy Metropolis begs the question: is there Fairy Superman?

000

Gal Gadot. An actor so robotic you totally believe people could be fooled by an AI pretending to be her.

000

Yep. It's happening. It's okay. I'm listening to something so am not being subjected to it.

Ages ago, Kat saw an injured woman in the street and stopped to ask if she was okay, before realising she was filming something. She just realised it was Gal Gadot in The Runner. And so is determined to subject herself to it on the off chance she might see herself in the background for 2 seconds

Exactly how you want him to go out. Looking sad and out of touch, in a fit of pique. Like Mourinho, but without the charisma. He won't be missed.

I feel like so many of their exhibitions are too busy or poorly organised. I couldn't handle the Silk Road one and had to leave because it was set up for people to move along in a line and that did my head in. I need to be able to wander around.

This is such a fuck up they have a dedicated email address. You gotta feel sorry for whoever has been lumbered with replying to that inbox who likely has nothing to do with ticketing policy.

I was making potato salad and I found a tiny brown shriveled raisin and I was pretty upset but it turned out to just be JKR's soul so I threw the whole thing out and power-washed my kitchen.

Only done the crash landing prologue bit, but I'm already very interested in this story. I played an Aberrant Mind sorcerer for years, so love having a little worm in my brain.

000

Okay. I've done it. I've finally given in and got Baldur's Gate 3. You win, fellow nerds.

There's apparently an American Robin Hood series (with Sean Bean as the Sheriff), but for some reason it's set during the reign of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine is a major character? I am curious about that conception process.

I need to go away 5-12 days in early October. So right now. I can't think of one place to go, so may do a few small places. No clue where to go for the first time in a long time. Have okay budget but not enough for expensive flights. So frustrating not knowing what to do

Just seen that wargame TV show described as Doctor StrangeGove and it's a work of puntastic genius.

How was your Saturday? I got bonked on the head by a giant inflatable moon and it was heavy. But then I walked outside and there was a glorious full moon. And for a brief second, all seemed right with the world.

Dave The Tanuki @mrkebb.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Gonna stick my head in the lions' mouth and say Mad Men. Kat watched it start to finish last year and it just seemed to be sad people fucking and then other people getting angry about the sad people fucking. And not much more than that. Maybe I was just always around during the boring bits.

Yes! It massively is! God bless the drag queen that told me I had it and put me on the path to diagnosis.

Have woken up sick as a dog and if I can't go to Public Service Broadcasting tonight I'm going to be absolutely fucking devastated.

Oh my god, I'd forgotten how good Data learning to dance is. The smile alone: 10/10.

Almost every picture of me and my brother is like this. Me stony faced, mind occupied and him grinning aimlessly.

"I find Lieutenant Worf to be somewhat of a kindred spirit" is one of Data's best unintentionally funny lines. He's right that they're both orphans and outsiders, but they couldn't be more different.

"We believe different religions, honey" may now become my go-to response to anything I don't like.

A fellow member of my gaming club once again strongly advocating for me to write up the games I run and self publish them. It's flattering, but baby, I don't got that type of time to do work with no reward.

Thursdays are good. The one day of my (4 day week) when I can focus on the housing law part of my job and not the management/supervision side.

A carved "pillar-biter" from the church of St. Bavo in Haarlem, from 1509-1517. With roots in Medieval iconography, pillar-biters represented hypocrisy and false piety. More here: www.leidenmedievalistsblog.nl/articles/dev...

New judicial appointments just dropped and what a diverse bunch they are. There's even a woman in there, just to spice things up.

Jean Simmons is so well known to anyone forced to watch "classic movie" adaptations of Great Expectations and Hamlet at school (plus she was in Spartacus and Guys and Dolls) that child me couldn't have confused her with the others. But totally fair mistake to make if you weren't familiar with her

Then I guess a murder is off the table.

That's interesting that you'd get this and Drumhead mixed up. Is it because you think the two older women in them have similar vibes?

He would disapprove, but he is often sympathetic. He wouldn't be angry, but he might be disappointed.

I know it's hardly the most unrealistic thing in Star Trek, but Marie Batel goes from being captain of a starship to head of the Starfleet legal division. What kind of career path is that?

000

"How long will you live, Data?". Ouch. That hurts.

Tasha Yar Smiling in Star Trek TNG

Watching Silicon Avatar and it's funny how I have almost no memory of anything that happens in this episode. It's almost like watching a new TNG episode.

Just flatly untrue and putting it in quotes makes it okay for a newspaper to make it a headline. They can't work, they can't rent, they can't leave the country if they want to come back, they don't have access to lots of public resources, they are separated from their families, etc etc etc

I love this cartoon so much and repost every time I see it, like Tom Holland Umbrella or Dan Stevens being asked if he had to beat off a lot of American men to get a role.

Here I am, around age 7, I'd guess. He looks an arrogant prick, doesn't he? Or like he knows something bad is gonna happen to the photographer and he's satisfied at the grisly outcome.

23 points in FPL leads to a green arrow? Clearly a bad week for everyone. Thank God I have Tarkowski, otherwise it would have been an absolute bloodbath.

002

I know Kat has turned me into a bit of a curtain twitcher but I honestly wish I had the brass neck to just block an entire lane of a road on a double red line and make every other bastard on the road squeeze past a stationary bus so I can take photos of a car. It's unhinged.

Well. That will teach me to turn a game off at 3-0, I suppose.

000

Has Tonali been this bad all season? Because he's been atrocious in this game (I missed the first 15 minutes or so)
