To protect themselves from the xenophobic humans, the vk'xs raised an ancient titan, creating a civilization ship to weather the storm. The human armies broke at the sight of the colossus, suing for peace before a drop of blood was shed. #fantasyart #darkfantasy #digitalart #procreate #art #artsky

A colossal undead humanoid crouches on all fours above a forest, dwarfing even the mountain range behind it. Its horned skull staring eyelessly forward. Its skin is a patchwork of blues and greens with exposed bone and muscle. Homes cathedrals and castles are knit into the body of the creature, muscle fibers engulfing them, with bridges and walkways forming connections. Tiny insectoid humanoid creatures walk these and look out from windows.

Been a while. Here's the first #painting I've done in like 10 years. #tempera on canvas board as a classroom example. Thinking I want to take it up again honestly

A tempera painting of a gnarled oak tree growing up through the floor of the ruins of an abandoned church, light streaming into the building through windows and a hole in the roof with masses of greenery growing from the wall in the right foreground and left midground as well as entering from windows to either side.

This #squirrel taken over by a #mushroom colony was inspired by a former student telling me seeing my #art "feels like being noticed by a clicker from the last of us." Which is the biggest compliment I've gotten in a while. #artsky #pencil #drawing #sketch #horrorart #horror

Another #pixel drawing. Too many of my students were turning in #pixelated heart #drawings so I decided to show them a maximum effort heart instead or a minimum one.

The #pixelart is quickly spiraling out of control. Genuinely a lot more enjoyable than id have guessed

#coloredpencil #pixel #drawing i did as an example for class I'd never tried this style before and honestly found it extremely satisfying

Another from my era of highly detailed #blackandwhite #creatureart this one in #pencil which was rare back then #art #sketchbook #monster #artsky

A black and white drawing of a bipedal creature with a thick and heavily textured creature against a black background. The creature is drawn with 2 arms ending in crab claws, 2 arms ending in clawed hands. Its head, which is oversized for its body is goat or ram like with spiraling horns, but with its top jaw ending in a set of segmented tentacles covering the bottom part of its face

One of my earlier digital paintings while still learning to use #procreate #art #digitalart #artsky #landscape #landscapeart

The viewing perspective is standing on a sandy beach looking across a still lake which reflects the trees on the other side that have begun to change colors for fall

A stupid ass edit of Hulk as a skilled artist.

Trying to do more #traditionalart to keep myself varied and to supplement since my digital pieces take so long. Today I drew a #cryptid from my home state of #ohio the Loveland frog man #creatureart #ballpoint #artsky #cryptidart #sketchbook #sketch #doodle #art #folklore #pen #penart

A blue ballpoint pen drawing of a bipedal frog creature with a distended belly. It's long tongue wraps around it's back and grasps a fairy tale style wand with "light" shining from it

Created as a Christmas present for my grandparents who have a terrible time with the protected gopher tortoises in their yard. The texture lighting and positioning of the scales following the contour of the turtle pushed me past my limits. #tortoise #digitalart #art #florida #ocsky #procreate

A digital art drawing of a gopher tortoise with a yellow ranch style house and two trees carried on it's shell. Behind the tortoise is a simplified landscape drawing of Wiggins pass state park beach enclosed in an oval shape with the tortoise slightly overlapping this oval.

Had a pretty vivid nightmare last night. Think we worked through it. #sketch #drawing #art #artskt #ocsky #blackandwhite #pen

A cross-hatched sketch of a man in a peacoat turtleneck and cap from the shoulder up. The man is wearing circular glasses with pitch black eyes reflecting light and leaking black tears the man's face is contorted into an unnaturally wide smile with darkened teeth slightly apart and saliva between them. The words "I'll take you with me m" are jaggedly written framing the top and bottom of the image

First in a series in progress I've been calling fiends and folklore, centered on creatures from myth or imagination. Began exploring a style that I've been expanding on since. #art #digitalart
