Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 9hTaking a break from ffxiv until evercold drops. Got 4 phantom weps fully upgraded and maxed my DoL/DoH to 100 so that's enough for now 010 0

Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 30/07/2026stickers, charms, and keychains as small and easy to transport items. Prints are very cool as well but that'd be more selective due to space needs. Would love a themed long lanyard for keychains or future con badges. Haven't been a merch guy till offkai so not sure what else might be good. gl boss 000 0

Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 28/07/2026 Got Orbonne in ally-rou 30 minutes before maint. Thundergod cid still got his schmoves 011 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Finally free'd from the cosmic mines of levelling for a bit until I get scrip or crafted gear rolling 010 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 08/06/2026I thought I didn't backup my virtual memcards for pcsx2 and got so sad until I found them on my portable drive, thank you past me 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 02/06/2026Finished Dawntrail! Really enjoyed it, there were only a couple parts that imo fell a little flat but it was a good time overall 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Spene feels so explicitly duplicitous that it feels like a double fakeout 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 28/05/2026Chugging along and finally got to the land of levin. Definitely would have been nice to not be slightly spoiled on it but it's still real cool 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 27/05/2026I forgot to back up my fate/stay night save before migrating to a new drive and formatting the old one for storage.... 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 26/05/2026Had to re-glam to explore xak tural. Very funny moment going "oh a saloon kinda town" moments before seeing the little intro cutscene 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 26/05/2026Finished the Rite of Succession story arc. Wasn't expecting it to wrap up quite so soon after Mamook, but it was a lot of fun 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Been really enjoying DT. Wuk Lamat's a funny lady, I do dig the vibe of being a more supporting role-type on her journey. I did roll my eyes when most of the scions showed back up almost right away but i'm trying to be open minded it 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 22/05/2026Finally built a new(ish) pc and briefly gave myself a panic attack thinking I hadn't backed up my ffxiv character settings to the square server 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 14/05/2026Finally feeling up to start playing ffxiv again. Stopped at the pre-DT quest before it had actually released and then stopped playing. With Evercold being announced it's a good time to play catchup 110 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 11/05/2026Finished replaying .hack infection and mutation recently after seeing the announcement for the new entry. Still crazy to think dot hack is back 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 10/04/2026Finished my replay of bloodborne. Parrying is so sickeningly good it was like playing a different game compared to my first time around. Still one of the best to do themes and such 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 07/04/2026I'm an idiot and a fool; Orphan beat my ass so bad I'm just going to bed instead 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 07/04/2026but getting through them gets kinda boring pretty quick. It's cool when a new environment starts getting used but the multiple layers don't feel too good 110 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 07/04/2026Made the mistake of trying to play through the chalice dungeons and grossly outleveled the main game and probably DLC. The chalice boss fights are mostly interesting (fuck you undead giant), 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 23/03/2026It's sickening. Viscerals are so strong. I actively hindered my own playthrough by thinking it wasn't worth it all those years ago... 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 19/03/2026Started up a threaded cane playthrough of Bloodborne and got inspired to engage with the parry system and holy moly, this is like an entirely different game to what I played originally 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 10/03/2026Finished playing through Tales of Rebirth. Another really cool entry in the Tales series I've played. Was not expecting the core themes to be about discrimination/racism and the way appearances can be used to drive people apart. Really fun time overall! My only gripe was with the battle camera 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 28/02/2026Been continuing my playthrough of rebirth, nearing what I'm fairly sure is the endgame. Didn't expect it to use discrimination and racism as core story conceits. It's been pretty good! The way they've written Veigue, Claire and the rest has been very fun/interesting 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 26/02/2026I did end up finishing FF10. Beautiful game, the character relationships were just, really good to see grow and change as the game went on. The OST had some real bangers too. definitely a top FF 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 21/02/2026Bookclubs been awesome so far, doing some assigned reading each week. Slowly getting to know the characters is awesome. Met this awful man tonight. His proportions too strange. his aura too dark. they should k*ll him 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 10/02/2026the answer was leveling up and actually rotating The Cube in a useful way 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 06/02/2026Started up Tales of Rebirth as my next tales game. The combat system is interesting with the force cube and RG/FG systems, compared to how straightforward destiny DC was. Got up the steel factory and started getting KO'd crazy style so I gotta figure out how to engage with it better 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 05/02/2026Joining a bookclub to read Fate/Stay Night for the first time. My only other experience is Deen S/N so it's going to be awesome 100 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 30/01/2026After beating Tales of Phantasia I decided I did want to get more into the Tales series. Found Tales of Destiny had a DC remake on the PS2 and picked it up. It was really fun! The characterization felt good and the voice acting was a lot of fun. The final dungeons were crazy long, tho 010 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 16/12/2025Started playing Final Fantasy X, one of the handful I've never touched. Awesome so far. I'm actually kinda digging blitzball, it's a bit fucked up 110 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 20/11/2025Played through Tales of Phantasia. Had no idea it was by the team that went on to do Star Ocean. Simple but solid gameplay, and the story was pretty good! It's sparked an interest in playing through the tales games sequentially now since it's a series i never got into 020 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 09/11/2025Replayed a childhood staple and properly beat it. Awesome game, def an all timer. Fun writing, characters, and dialogue, simple gameplay but engaging! The controls are definitely of the time but easy to grasp. Only real complaint was sound design felt a little iffy in spots, but not like bad. 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 09/09/2025Played through and beat Shadow of the colossus over the last week. One of the most enjoyable games I've ever played. Beautifully crafted with an awesome soundtrack and sound direction. It's short and poignant in a really enjoyable way, easily a top game of all time 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 31/08/2025Completed my first time playthrough of Ico for the PS2. Easy top 10 game. Immaculate vibes, music, sound direction. The simple gameplay loop was refined to a really engaging degree and there were so many moments that added some real soul to what is presented to the player. Wonderful game all around 030 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 12/08/2025Watched strange harvest in theater. Pretty good 6.5/10 for me. I enjoyed the presentation and the way they retold what had happened was engaging. Did not realize it was the grave encounters guy til I looked it up afterwords 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 11/08/2025Watched War of the Worlds 2025. Incredible movie(?). I was a little in awe at what I was seeing and hearing. Actively sweaty by the time the movie ended. 5/5 would recommend for a group watch 000 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 01/08/2025Recently replayed and beat FF12 for the PS2. Incredibly solid game, absolutely undeserving of the hate it got at the time. I definitely did not get far into the game when I first played it as the slight nuance of "farming LP to fill out the good board pieces" eluded me when I was younger, lol. 010 0
Grimpond @mrgrimmothy.bsky.social · 01/08/2025Made a bluesky a while back to mostly have one available and I'm finally getting the urge to actually use it. So out of practice with throwing thoughts out into the void of a social media site 000 0
