California condors are the largest North American native bird. This species is critically endangered with a leading cause of death being poisoning from agriculture or lead in the carcasses they eat. They work with small vultures that locate carcasses. While the condor's open it up to eat.

Fun fact Livyatan is a species of large toothed sperm whale. Livyatan was macroraptorial, feeding on other large mammals and possibly competing with the giant shark, megalodon! It's name is inspired by the biblical sea monster leviathan. it has the largest biting teeth known at 36.2 cm or 1.19 ft!

American toads are a common toad found in the Eastern US and Canada. They have a mutualistic relationship with chlorogonium algae as tadpoles, as it makes them grow faster. American toads can change skin color depending on environment, temperature and stress. Ranging from yellow, brown and black.

Cuvier's dwarf caimans are small measuring between 3'11-5'2 and 13-85 pounds. They are considered a keystone species and keep the populations of many species such as piranha in check. due to their extensive armor they were not targeted by the leather trade and are still common.

Since it's world okapi day here's a fact about them. The okapi is the closest living relative of the giraffe. The okapi was unknown to the western world until the early 1900's. Okapi's are solitary and have a low population density. Habitat loss places them on the endangered species list.
