We are mere hours away from Canon Event. What could @mrelimac.bsky.social possibly have in store for the fight against 25CW?

After listening to the German cast recording of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" stage show, I have made it my mission to learn and sing the German interpretation of Out There aka Draussen.

You can let them know they can try to “execute” me, but it doesn’t matter how many they bring with them. The Free Agent never dies.

How interesting it is to be the calming voice of a shouting match between my mother and niece. I am, however, expecting to get heat from my mom for not fully being on her side. Also, this is an entire story, so I'm not going into details about why this even happened.

My least favorite part of my brain, when it comes to writing, is that it refuses to accept that the first draft is supposed to be messy. My brain only wants what I'm writing to be perfect. I hate it all.

When Danger BOi & the Antagonists hits the shelves of your comic book stores, I highly recommend you pick it up and give it a read. You won't regret it. My rating is 4 out of 5 stars; an 8 out of 10. 8/8

Overall, this book delivers on relevant social commentary wrapped in a superhero tale. I love the characters of DB, CF, and Hardshell. I wish Meliora, CC, The Statesmen, and DB's supporting cast had more panel time, but hopefully that'll happen in the next issue. The art is breathtaking. 7/8

Now to talk about the art, it's so beautiful. It evokes the retro, 60s era of art of comic books past. I think Sean Peacock's art fits amazingly with the retro-futuristic vibes. Las Torres looks highly stylized and down to earth. The color combinations are beautiful as well. 6/8

I do wish that we would've seen more of DB's supporting characters. I don't want to spoil the book, but I wish that could've been expanded upon more in the book. I also hope we see more of Meliora and Crash Cart. Of the team, they felt the least fleshed out. 5/8

Eli McCaig @mrelimac.bsky.social · 10/09/2025

as the main antagonist (no pun intended) in the first issue, I did enjoy Hardshell's characterization. I was also reading his character in RDJ's voice, and it worked amazingly. I hope we can see more of the Statesmen in the future. They seem like they'll be fun antagonists for The Antagonists. 4/8

seeming like a rip-off. He's his own character with his own struggles, and his backstory is darker than I expected. I also enjoyed the character of Cold Fusion, who may be a mentor figure for DB (if we get a second issue fingers crossed). While I was hesitant to see a Iron Man pastiche as the 3/8

on the genre. However, after reading it, I can say I was wrong to have that fear. While it does have social commentary in it, it serves the story of how corporations are taking over the country (art predicting life). The character of Danger BOi evokes Invincible and Batman Beyond without 2/8

Just finished #DangerBOiandtheAntagonists by @djtalkstrash.bsky.social & @allsorrows.bsky.social. When I first heard the pitch of reimagining the superhero genre for the 21st century, I was a bit hesitant. I've been a fan of the genre this century, and I didn't want it to be negative commentary 1/8
