@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Pato Box (switch) punch-out style game with a black and white aesthetic. Adds in rudimentary platforming to mix things up. I really enjoyed the story mode, fights were challenging and leaned heavy into puzzle mechanics. Very enjoyable playthrough 7.5/10

@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Xbox 360) fairly quick beat but controls are loose and floaty as hell more jank than I expected for such a big license. Would only recommend if you’ve got a polyquest square to fill

@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Dark Cloud really torn on this one it had potential to be exceptional, but there are soo many small annoyances that detract from the experience. Why do I need a consumable item to run, why can i stack some items but not others, weapon durability etc… 7/10

@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Olli Olli (switch 2) Amateur and Pro campaigns. A really strong 2d representation of skating. Some of the pro levels took several hundreds of attempts, that feeling when you finally hit the score ceiling was incredible.

Quite with a little-known game you would recommend Evoland II This time hopping rpg takes you through the evolution of video games and tackles different genres with confidence. The narrative is simple yet has quite a bit of depth and leaves you pondering well after completion

@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit Flipping Death puzzle platformer where you possess bodies to solve puzzles. The writing was a bit cringey for me and some of the jokes were repeated to death. The solutions delved into point and click logic but there is a hint system which was nice 6/10
