also the lighting here is funny in that it is entirely rendered in 2D, then composited with the main render

I made a little 3D particle system for the falling leaves and I'm surprised how much use I immediately got out of it for other things...! (bluesky will probably explode the bitrate of this) #SMATRS #mario #gamedev
