Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I noticed that, I just didn't make the connection! I did wind up beating him and completing the demo. 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Also: "Xbox hardware unit sales declined by 31% (lowest August since 2020)". GROWTH! 041
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I had one of these. It has the superior version of Castle Wolfenstein. 😂 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Xbox is NOT for sale. (Because they're not done prepping them for sale yet) 120
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Same. Chrono Trigger just seemed like a big jumble to me, I can't remember much about it beyond a certain level of goofiness and starting off at that millennial party or whatever. 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Never clicked for me either. I think it's the ultimate "had to be there" game. 100
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 03/10/2026First thing that entered my mind was, "Now that E-Day has launched to great reviews, Asha Sharma can finally lay everybody off. Must be a huge relief for her." I hate all of this. 020

Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 02/10/2026This whole thing is tiring because it's so soulless. Xbox, for whatever it is nowadays, means next to nothing to these execs. It could be batteries, or paperclips, or car tires. It's just a bunch of numbers on a spreadsheet that need to add up to another number. But they gotta spin their PR. 😑 030
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 01/10/2026So far the strategy is "cut costs and commitments down to the bare minimum, and we'll figure out what to do later." It doesn't make for riveting PR, so we get this fluff. 120
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Wow, "the industry requires disruption", that's really deep. I've never heard that before. Truly a visionary, transformative leader. 091
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I thought exactly the same thing. "Oh, so it's not CURRENTLY for sale. Gotcha." 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 29/09/2026In here before the blue checkmark, on some day one shit. 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Read the Witcher III Remastered patch notes. Thank goodness they changed the method of getting Roach to canter/gallop to pressing a button instead of holding it. Having to hold a button down effectively all the time over 100+ hours gave me a repetitive stress injury last time. Was my top complaint. 050
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I was just thinking this with Witcher III. Even the "regular" version looks better than anything out there. 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Ironically, they're already entertaining a billion people per day with these daily news stories that come out about their rampant buffoonery. So, mission accomplished? 020
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Here's an article (paywalled, sorry) from 2014 that says the same thing about Destiny. I guess they learned nothing. www.wired.com/2014/09/dest...wired.comDestiny Is Great, if You Can Ignore Your LifeDestiny is a polished, interesting experience. I just don't know how much more of it I can play. 160
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Make sure you go and download Castlevania 40th Anniversary for free on iOS/Android. 020
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Wild, this game has been in my head the last few days. It's so goddamn difficult and the enemies always come back from off-screen. Some sort of metaphor there for sure. 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 25/09/2026The Last of Us has an incredible opening. The creeping realization of the horror of what's going on is really well done. 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 24/09/2026You can't "bring something to the masses" when you even have effectively professional players saying the game is too hard. I want some of what Bungie was smoking with this one. 040
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 24/09/2026On board with all comments here, full reboot. There's so much lore out there, and my God did 343 butcher the narrative. 001
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Day by day, Xbox becomes less special as a brand. 110
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Yeah, pretty obvious. And by obvious I mean "keep building on the IP that took 10 years and hundreds of millions to create" vs. "scrap it entirely for a niche new game made for sickos only". Really baffling stuff. 020

Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Biggest problem with The Grounds so far is that nobody actually queues for anything. 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 20/09/2026I've probably had 3 playthroughs as well (the original on 360, then the remake on Xbox and PS5). It's a comfort game for me, because it rewards patience and never gets too complex. I found navigating the ship to be easy thanks to the floor indicator. 100
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 15/09/2026You're also living in space. That space is called my Heart of Hearts 150
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I can understand why they stopped supporting Destiny 2, but why on earth they mothballed that IP in favor of an untested IP in a niche, super-hardcore genre I'll never understand. They walked right into this. They now survive only as long as Sony wants to waste money on them. I give them a year. 010
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 13/09/2026This is distributed in the US by Focus Features, which is owned by Comcast, which is owned by a billionaire. Yeah, I'm sure they're terrified. 050
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I'm concerned about Union too. They haven't looked good. It feels like they have more patience with Lustrinelli though, especially with the departures of Leite and Doekhi. 000
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 13/09/2026He tried...Kotick with his "annualize everything until people are sick of it" mantra. But the team just couldn't keep that pace. Maybe this is a reasonable middle ground where they give themselves a broad 5-year target to hit, but do it publicly do there is pressure and a loose roadmap. 010
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 12/09/2026This feels like a mandate from on high that the old "it'll ship when it's ready" stuff won't fly any more. Also having huge gold mine franchises sitting in limbo for 12+ years (e.g. Diablo, Starcraft) won't fly either. 130
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 12/09/2026According to this article, Sony's single-player formula has grown stale. But it then implies that the answer would have been to retain Kojima so he can make another, somehow "better" version of Metal Gear Solid. So rehashing a previous formula is both bad and good at the same time? I guess? 010
Jon Lindemann @mrdiamondj.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Death Stranding has an 82 on Metacritic, so Wolverine is about as good as that. Just saying. 000
