I'm tired of living in a world where *interesting* things happen. I just want to quietly work on my system of mapping pip cards onto astrological decans (it neccessarily hinges on determining the correct elemental attribitions of the suits). But the outside world has a way of insisting on itself.

I've used some out of the ordinary stuff over the years. A hammer, ribbon wands, a winding horn, a bell branch. I made a large paper-mache Gorgoneion for an apotropaic ritual once.

I tried Mastodon, but I never really got engaged with it. Maybe because it didn't seem as active as I expected, or maybe the interface was too unfamiliar at the time. I'm trying my hand at Bluesky for a while at least. But it's a little bit of a struggle so far.

I keep trying to move more of my social media activity to Bluesky but I find the character limit to be an unwelcome constraint. I end up expressing ideas in less nuanced ways just so I can make them fit into the space allowed, and I don't like doing that. Any advice from more experienced users?

I'm in love with the accoutrements of organizing: folders, boxes, tubs, planners, color-coded clips, etc, etc. I feel, somehow, that merely having these items in close proximity will magically make me more organized. The principle of contagion, maybe? It's like I'm in my own little cargo cult.
