Playing through Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. A significantly better experience than Star Wars Outlaws. Interestingly there are a number of the same gameplay mechanics as Outlaws; fetch quests, exploration, sneaking, looting etc, but the story is much tighter & side characters are better.

Started playing Star Wars Outlaws tonight after recent reviews suggested that most issues had been fixed. I have to say it’s been a really fun experience. This game rewards taking things slowly and absorbing yourself into the world.

Went for a bit of a wander around Barangaroo in Sydney today. Came across a fun sculpture in the harbour. Also went to Kinokuniya bookstore next to Town Hall and loaded up on some favourite graphic novels I’ve had digitally for a while but found in hardcover editions.

Finally got around to testing 5.3-codex as a Plus member and woah 😱 was able to knock out a bunch of mini interactive experiences and simple mildly complex app in a day. Impressed.

Purchased an additional camera (Sony Zv-e10ii) in white on the weekend to complement my a7s3 in order to start working on some top-down paper engineering videos. Hopefully the C stand and boom arrives this week and I can spend next weekend in earnest working on it.

On Thursday/Friday I visited Canberra to attend the annual HALT Summit for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teachers across Australia. I got to present and lead at 2 HALT Share Space discussions around catering to diversity and high potential in classrooms and how I achieved it! Great experience!!

My Highly Accomplished Teacher certificate of accreditation arrived in the mail! I might be the last teacher to achieve all 37 indicators as the new HAT accreditation process reduces the indicators required to 20. Glad I was able to achieve all 37 as I feel it should be the expectation for a HAT.

It’s simple but I’ve recently started getting back into drawing and animation. This little practice started as just a bouncing ball but I decided to add a little tail to it. In the next version I’m going to try giving the bounce a sense of intentionality.

This week I had the opportunity to lead our school staff in analysing the National Literacy Learning Progressions, with a focus on Creating Texts. Staff appreciated the clarity I was able to provide around how to analyse a written text for understanding student needs. #AussieEd
