Are people actually worried about this aspect of these packs? I haven't seen anyone mention worry over scalpers and the like, but maybe I'm not hanging out in those places. I agree with you that it's not something that is likely to occur because of these.

I would agree with you that finding a foil in a pack used to feel more exhilarating though. "Remember when foils were only in every 9 packs? Pepperidge Farm Remembers" -somebody somewhere

There were a lot of people talking about how foils in every pack was common across a lot of other TCGs and how it helped with the secondary market. Did it help MTG? The prices of foils have dropped quite a bit since they made the change to every pack foils, collector packs also contributed I'm sure.

Okay, but you mentioned drafting, not sealed, so that's what we were talking about. And yes the store could leave it in, or the player could drop. Both options causing their own form of chaos in a limited event like that. I'm not saying it's the worst, or the best, I just wouldn't give it a 10/10.

Also, reducing the number of foil common/uncommon cards in collector packs while also removing them entirely from regular packs, means they are just reducing the number of foil common/uncommon sheets they need to produce per set. How does this benefit players? It doesn't? Higher prices? 🙃 3/2

The extra pack is really the only way to handle it, but most LGSs run on small margins these days (especially for shops outside the US) So that extra cost is limiting. People complained 5 years ago that other TCGs had guaranteed foils. Now we are saying we should go back. Very silly in my opinion.

Will the collector packs be cheaper because they have less cards in them now? Also most likely no... I stopped opening packs for content because of the price of the packs not because of the content inside them. Overall I think this is a very unoriginal and boring change. 2/2

As someone who started their content career in MTG with a pack opening channel... these changes make me feel really bad. Will creators chase the packs? yes. Will this be good for the game and playerbase? Most likely not. Will this benefit the creators who find these packs? Most likely not. 1/2

I most likely will not be traveling to the US out of principle for the foreseeable future, even if things go a better way in your next election it's not going to fix things overnight.
