Our purple patch at school continues! Just as break time ended, a Little Egret flew over the playground! Another new bird for our school list and lots of big smiles on the faces of the children who saw it! #UKBirding #rspb

Only seen one but it was quite a sight when it flew across the school field then into the woods towards the river!

We have a feeding station outside my classroom complete with cameras! We get a badger each night that I show the children footage of the next day. Our best birds in the school grounds probably Willow Tit, Kingfisher & Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. Also had Waxwing & Brambling.

Lots of excitement at breaktime today when our birdwatching group spotted a female Goosander flying over the playground! A new bird for our school list. (That takes us to 75 species seen in or from our school grounds!) #UKBirding #rspb

I've decided to close my account over on the other place and start a new one here. Most of my posts are about the wildlife we see around our school as well as nature related content to encourage children to get out and explore!
