MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 19hYep, you can’t use IQ testing in disability evaluation for black students in California bc of that 000
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 07/10/2026(Tho also, Utena is an original anime, and there’s not a lot of longer running original anime in general, particularly these days) 010
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Oh, yeah, I def have some very good ideas of why that is, and I think if you’re not as aware of the publication history and trends of both BL and yuri, and some of idea of the original cultures around the genres, it can seem odd! 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I really wanted to take today’s photo outside, so I waited until just before sunset in hopes it would cool down, but it was still pretty hot 😔 120
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I still dream of an official license for Song of the Wind and Trees. Maybe one day………. 220
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 07/10/2026As someone who is primarily a Manga Reader and not a Shipper, people really don’t read manga or know the OGs……it’s very much a throughline in a lot of the worst takes that cross my path 120
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Luckily, I got it for a super deep discount and consider this to be a solvable problem 000
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Looking between this horrid lining and the og price of this coat is making me ask a lot of questions 100
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It might not be cold outside yet (quite the opposite, in fact), but I can bundle Birdy up and imagine otherwise 130
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 04/10/2026This is both a exercise in remixing Birdy’s wardrobe and finding new and interesting spots in my house 121
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I originally bought these for her, but struggled to get them on her, and thought they didn’t fit for years! But they do 💕 020
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Wait……if those white heels fit her…..does that mean I can get these boots on her??? 130
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Very happy to find that these shoes can also fit her 130
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Yay, October! I want to take lots of pics of Birdy this month 140
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I feel very much the same way, I want to get my site to a point where I have a good archive of my own work, but also pages that link out to other stuff I enjoy + resources I use 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Also how I try to solve my life’s problems (that, and slapping a million stickers on them) 111
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Hopefully! 🙏 I have had issues with some of my doll’s piercings popping off (like spikes and rings, the lower profile “studs” are usually fine), but I also handle them quite a bit and am not the mostly gentle, so 🤷♂️ 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Super cute, but def needs some adjustments for Birdy’s skinny ass, lol 230
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Wow, I didn’t realize it was that far behind…..extremely unfortunate, I would also read more of it 😔 100
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I cut this lining twice bc I realized the checks showed through the white bib, so it was better if it was also white 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Lmao, I binge read this series like, a year or so ago? Many things are happening it 010
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 25/09/2026The diagram for the bodice confused me for a bit, until I realized that the instructions for the MSD and SD sizes are the same, but the SD size has darts in the front and back, while the MSD size only has them on the front 111
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Ahahaha, my phone app finally fixed itself, and I didn’t even have to update anything. Freed from gay baby jail 🎉 010
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Further update: does seem to be a rollout bug, but you might still need to update, it’s fixed on my iPad now (updated) but not my phone (not updated) 010
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I’m the same way 😭 also, it looks like this might just be a roll out bug 🙄 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Yeah…….looks like you might. Tho, my app is very, very old bc I can’t updated it due to my phone no longer being able to upgrade its iOS 🤣 I’m gonna have to upgrade my whole ass phone for this 😭 111
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Lol, okay, well that’s fun. Discord has marked my account as adult, but my phone app is still blocking me from 18+ channels, presumably bc it’s too dang old 250
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 23/09/2026October coming up next week is making me be in the mood to make something for Birdy, so here we go 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 22/09/2026The “they don’t talk about the reality of gay marriage” thing is particularly funny to me bc like, this is from 2004 010
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 22/09/2026This feel like the few times I’ve encountered people saying that BL is “unrealistic” and such bc they don’t talk about real social issues gay men face, like homophobia and the legalization of same-sex marriage 220
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Huh???? I’ve also prob read 300+ BLs and the number of gay and bi men I’ve encountered is…….a lot 220
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Made a little hanging basket for my sewing so I’ll stop throwing pieces on my dresser and immediately losing them (pls enjoy my horrible little pin cushion 💕) 000
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Oh no, you’re making me really want to try for RR this time 👀 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Annoyingly, I don’t think they list stuff from ComicsPlus on their site, but it is there 010
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Oh, I just looked up, it’s a Yen title, those are on the ComicsPlus app, not Libby. 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Yeah, I’ve had some digital requests through the site denied (later vols of a series not listed in libby, Sublime titles), and others approved (Kuma titles). They’ll usually at least tell you why if they deny it tho 210
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 19/09/2026You can send a request through the library’s site as well, but that’s not as much of a guarantee, and there’s a per month limit (sc also has ComicsPlus, which is a worse app imho, but does fill in some of the gaps libby has for comics) 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 19/09/2026My mother is going through the stuff she inherited again, so now I own a tie clip with a bear trap on it 120
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Oh boy…..admittedly, I am constantly losing the certs for the dolls I own, but you’d think that’s something you’d make sure you have before listing it 110
MrBatBird @mrbatbird.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I just got a whole bunch of notifications that the rest of the volumes have been added, congrats, we did it 🎉 220
