![22 November 1989, A horror story by Evan and René from Akersloot.
[René] Old Brandybuck was sitting in his worn armchair when his maid put the kettle on. There was a knock at the door. The maid called out: ‘I’m coming!’
There was a man with a collection box at the door [Evan: dzjieng-dzjieng!]
“Do you have a spare coin for the cancer charity?”
“I’ll just go and fetch Mister!” He came shuffling over with his weathered walking stick.
A shrill scream cut through everything [Evan: shrill scream]
The collection man ran off before the old man could put anything in the box. “What was that?!” cried the old man, startled. “It’s the tea!” The old man breathed a sigh of relief.
She couldn’t have known that hidden in the steam from the tea was the werewolf who had died before he could take his revenge on the old man. She closed the door and the old man hobbled back to his worn armchair.
The maid went home as her shift had ended. Old Brandybuck went upstairs to brush his teeth. He twisted the cap off the tube of toothpaste.
[Evan] Suddenly, a screeching bat [screech] flew out. The bat turned on the shower tap and aimed the shower head at the defenceless man. Burning oil spurted out, straight into his eyes. A terrible hisssss...!
He was blind.
He decided to go to sleep because he didn’t know what else to do. He felt his way to his bed, which he managed to reach a short while later. Old Brandybuck hoped he would have a good night’s sleep.
In the middle of the night, the werewolf’s ghost entered the bedroom. The ghost grabbed old Brandybuck with its claw. It tore the skin off his nose. Blood streamed from his nose, down his cheeks onto the white sheet. The ghost continued. He ripped old Brandybuck’s entrails out of his stomach! The next day, old Brandybuck was found dead in his house.
