My MANIFESTING DESTINY characters would probably fit well in Percy Jackson or Simon Snow type stuff. But it’d be funnier to slot them into something really mundane so everyone would be confused on all sides! 😂 Modern Family or whatever.

I always tell people that if they can live without writing they should. It has to be something you're driven to do, I think. I can go for a while without writing more than a few bits and pieces until the need builds up--it feels like physical pressure--and I *have* to write. #pretendpanel

There is a desert at the southern part of the island of AElit that is known as Belkanel (lit. "place without water") or "the Deadlands." It is believed that Telamenos (Death) lives there and used to be the place the dead were brought to for burial. No one goes there now. #OctoberWorldbuilders

There is no "light" or "dark" magic in AElit. Simply the belief that prayers, healing, and other such works are more effective during a full moon because Argyros' gates are open. (It actually makes no difference.) #SeptemberWorldbuilders

#FantasyIndiesSeptember Day 28 I don't like DNFing books but I will do it. I try to give every book a fair shake, and I'll still rate/review if I think I read enough. I stop if (a) I realize I just don't care what happens, (b) gore/bad things happen to animals, (c) the writing doesn't work for me.

It was only much later that Seladion became associated with the full moon and Amaurodios with the new moon. Again, the chief light/dark belief is that the moon is Argyros and its gates open and close with the phases. Darkness is an absence of the divine. #SeptemberWorldbuilders

In AElit darkness isn't bad/evil but it does represent a lack of holy light. The new moon, for instance, is believed to occur when Argyros (~Heaven) has closed its gates. Prayers are less likely to be answered then. Darkness is isolation, abandonment, absence. #SeptemberWorldbuilders

Moonlight is more sacred than sunlight in AElit because the moon is associated with Argyros/the heavenly realms. Interestingly, over time, Seladion became associated with the full moon as well. Sunlight is life-giving, so it is also seen as good but not nearly as holy. #SeptemberWorldbuilders
