An excerpt from a commission I finished recently. This was the second time I’ve illustrated stylized milkweed plants for a commission and I’m currently illustrating more for a personal illustration. It’s been fun capturing the essence of them in bloom.

“Kewpie Delivery” - 2026 (acrylic, gouache, paint marker, and graphite on canvas) With a shared love of Kewpie mayo and Pikmin between my husband and I, I figured “por que los nos dos?” and have this silly art hang somewhere in our kitchen. #mpILLO #Pikmin #Nintendo #Kewpie #illustration

I felt like I got bit by a (benevolent) bug and had to rein it in so I can focus back on other projects on my creative docket. I hope this can be helpful in some way and feel free to let me know if you print any out and color them in!

Coloring page featuring stalks of milkweed shooting up from the ground.
Ending in a ball-like bloom of flowers, they tower over morel mushrooms and a small bird on the ground.

A coloring page of kids enjoying a day in nature.
Each child is fascinated or enthralled by animal life: birdwatching, meeting the gaze of a frog on a lily pad, or excited from catching a beetle.

In the midst of moving things, and came across my bin of old sketchbooks. I snapped some pics of things I wanna revisit. (The latest illustration I posted was a result of this)

A sketch of a church/home in a park with someone at the front door.
A small 2-door car with a person leaning against it and waiting is in the foreground.

A mummy-esque character using a spear for support wearing a tiny baseball cap.

Here’s a photo of the Mississippi River I took the other day. 🌅

The Mississippi River is frozen over in winter. It is sunset in a city. Buildings are dark as they are backlit by the light of a setting sun.

Comprehensive sketch of Mindy of the Magus Sisters (FFX design version) I never played much of that Final Fantasy, but I always enjoy pouring over character designs.

Drawing of Mindy from Final Fantasy’s Magus Sisters. Design draws inspiration from FF X version.
Mindy is in a nosedive position reaching for a star facing to the bottom left corner of the drawing, there are pink clouds / smoke surrounding the character and the star.
