Slayers for the SNES. First things first. Fan translation did a great job! The translators did a real good job making sure characters and humor. There were some great laughs at the jokes. Some great writing in this. Although that said man there were some weird game design decisions in this!

Overall while I did have fun with this one, it was mostly due to the writing and being familiar with the anime and characters. It would be hard to recommend this one if youre not a fan of the anime. I've certainly played worse RPGs but I've also played much better.

Most encounters are cheesed because you rely on your party members to do most of the dirty work. It's not a hard game. Pretty easy breezy until you gotta grind at the end of the game. Some dungeons are confusing and Seiruun city was pretty terrible with its back and forth quest.

It's not frustrating but more annoying than some party members have trouble doing what you say and they'll just do their own thing. It's a little better than it sounds but only because most party members join you at higher levels than you are! Which makes the balance of the game dumb.

Mousebusters! I really loved this one a lot! What an absolutely charming game! A game where youve turned into a mouse and you bust some ghosts! I really wish I hadn't put this in my backlog for when I bought this when it came out.

The game was quite charming with its gameplay. Simple yet I had fun the entire time! Some fantastic pixel art as well. I feel the game really shines with its writing. It had some extremely charming and heartwarming writing. One part even got to me a lil.

I appreciate a cozy comfy transformation alot, but always look forward to the Halloween TF season seeing the unique and unconventional TFs artists experiment with. The bugs, the frogs, the weird and the strange. Sometimes it's nice to step outside that comfort zone and just get weird.

Yeah pretty much an easy breezy game it you just do the main story. I can see how grotto stuff can get real hard real fast but just playing by yourself there wasn't much of a point to do it since the rewards were terrible for the first couple.

Yeah the Quests really do feel like MMO style quests. It being trapped solely on the DS with a lot of features just completely unaccessible unless you're modding or emulating. Although really unless you're going for 100% alot of that isn't needed. You can just stroll through this game and it's great

Yeah this game can really suck you into the side quest rabbit hole. I did a fair number of the sidequests too. The weapon and job quests are certainly the most important ones to get. There's also just some fun and humorous side quests as well. I wish you could hold more than 10 quests at a time.

Dragon Quest 9. I had a lot of fun with that. A pretty dang good solid entry into the series. I thought the plot was pretty dang fun It kept me intrigued and I will say it has some surprising turns here and there.

Overall good game. I kinda of wish I could have done some of the multiplayer stuff that's been sadly outdated but it was a fun experience and I'm glad I played it. Although when I do replay this one I'll probably get a QoL mod to fix the small annoyances.

For most the game my party was main character was mostly a ranger but used Sage for Final boss. My their ended up a Warrior My Barbarian ended up a Paladin Mage ended up Sage.

This game is pretty dang short if you just blaze through it. Going for side quests is going to take up most your time and the rewards really do vary on usefulness. I am glad farming metal slimes was pretty dang effective and great for getting levels/skills up at end game.

The two things I didn't like was the important drops/steal rate is really low. Plus a lot of side quests are VERY tedious. I feel some of these quotas for battle specific stuff should be liked halved or more. Pick the important ones and don't bother going out of your way for weapons you don't use.

I really enjoyed the combination of the vocational system and the weapon skill system. Both combined was a lot of fun and great usage. Still good to pick your favorite weapons and specialize in them. Shields are superbly good in this game.
