Want to know if any cross stitchers made this back in 2000? Turns out I thrifted this ornament years back without really realizing what kind of handmade craft this was. I can just barely make out some initials in the bottom right corner of mine.

I’m going to stitch as a #craftadventcalendar activity. I’ve been steadily making progress on this sampler I found on Craftsy. It’s been a good refresher project. I first did cross stitch when I was 10 after getting a kit from an aunt.

Ok. Thanksgiving favorite side thread. Mine is my mom’s dressing. I’ve been making it the last few years. Details in the alt text. Was so pumped to have timed it right this year to be ready with the meal.

Cornbread dressing with celery, onions, Jimmy Dean sage sausage (key), and pecans. Hit with a little milk and sherry to bind.

What’s your “no one but me remembers” game? I played this game maybe a little outside of the peak of 90s cdrom adventure games. Def kind of gross to think of the focus of the game being used for entertainment now. I’d rather revisit 7th guest or Myst.

Calling out to all iNaturalist users! Please help confirm ID’s for my friend’s identification fundraiser blitz. Project name is Kestrel Bio-Thon 2024. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😁 I found some eelgrass this morning on my first observation walk for the 24-hour event.

Fronds of eelgrass washed up on rocky shore. Roots are at the top of the frame and run towards bottom where the top of the shoots were.

I’m pumped to attend my first pro women’s hockey game today. Shout out to Front Office Sports for putting women first! Women in all sports could benefit from this jersey change.

Congratulations to the NASA team that successfully launched the PACE satellite this morning. I share in the collective excitement of all ocean and atmospheric scientists. Can’t wait for the first dataset!

Loving this new to me app called Pacer. Since committing to one of their virtual challenges, I’m already on a really great path to better overall fitness for the year. Some of the steps are estimates based on the stationary rides I’ve been doing.

Last 7 days I’ve averaged 6391 steps. That’s up nearly 4K from the previous week!
