An orange cat is laying in a sunbeam on a carpet. She's raised her head to look at her human, who is blocking the sun a bit.

flynn was starting to not like being in the dark (perhaps a vision issue considering her age) so i got her a fleet of nightlights 🥹 #cat #cats #catsofbluesky #catlover

i cleaned the enclosures of the ladies i kept too, so they could also have a fresh start! adelaide is protesting a bit, but i think she'll appreciate it soon 💖 #spider #tarantula #acanthoscurriageniculata #brachypelmaalbiceps

the last piece of furniture for flynn's "retirement paradise" arrived yesterday! now she has several cozy spots that are all easy to reach 😊 she's been by my side through my teen years and then figuring out my mental health as an adult, so i think she deserve to live her later years as royalty 💖

A pink rug designates a section of a room as a cat space. There are several pieces of cat furniture around, all easy to navigate for an older cat. Nothing is too high and the rug helps cushion any jumps to the floor she might take instead of the steps. In the corner of the photo there is an orange cat strolling towards the photo taker.

due to a very long chronic illness flair up, i have extremely missed emilia's birthday. luckily she can not read a calendar, so please wish her a happy birthday!! she's my crankiest and if she figures it out she'll never let me live it down 😭 #spider #tarantula #brachypelmaemilia #arachnophiles

A photo of Emilia from around the week I brought her home. She is a very light orange and dusty brown, needing to molt.

This one is after her first molt with me. Now dhe is a nice, soft orange and silky black.

my brother got me this book (highly recommend it, it's the best spider book i've found so far) and i made it into a checklist by putting tabs on all of the spiders i find and can identify! i have around 15 marked 🕷️

The page in the book for Drassyllus Depresses, marked with a pink tab. There are other tabs peeking out from different places in the book.

i'm not exactly sure! he has the same body type and black body/brown legs of these two that are in my area, but not the lighter markings. somewhere in the gnaphosidae family!

An Eastern Parson Spider, or Herpyllus Ecclesiasticus.

bonbon passed away yesterday evening. he matured pretty quickly after i got him, but the few molts i got to see were really interesting- he would always change color so drastically! truly a gorgeous little man 💛 #spider #petloss

A large wolf spider with a dark brown body, a rich brown abdomen, and a light cream stripe going down the center of the cephalothorax. This was the day I got him!

The same wolf spider, now having molted. You can see his old exoskeleton underneath him. This was also the day I got him! His cephalothorax and legs are mostly a greyish white, except for a touch of orange on his stripe. His abdomen is a soft greyish brown.

The same wolf spider, now almost entirely an off white color. There is only some black around the strip going down the center of his cephalothorax.

The same wolf spider, now mostly a tan color. His cephalothorax is a very dark brown except for the edges and his signature stripe. This is one of my most recent pictures of him.
