Revised, because Discworld MUD is a selection on the list. The game I have logged the most hours on, ever (and my oldest, active internet footprint) is completely text-based. :3

$My 9 Games. 1. Discworld MUD: This game has my oldest active internet footprint. Technically, I started playing here in '99-'00. I'm quite an accomplished, active Thief. 2. The greatest arcade FPS of all-time? Nine Inch Nails doing the score? Ominous, forever Black Hole Sun clouds? 3. Maxis held a special place in my heart for so long. Technically my into to them was in SNES' Sim City (which has an OST that still slaps). 4. See also TF:2, Counter-strike 1.6. In another life, I'd have been a CS E-games player, I was really-*really good* at Counter-strike :\ 5. This game (and its immediate predecessor) is/are still worth playing. This may've been the first save-file transfer *I recall* in gaming. 6. Still love Rube Goldberg machines, but the advertising that was done for this game series was all over the place!! 7. Custom map, Combat Deluxe, battling one of the triplets down the street, via dial-up. Hiding in the exit well with a megabomb. 8. Having a game use the mechanics I was familiar with from D&D 3.5E was so cool. 9. First LAN experience, at my late uncle's, making mechs and blowing stuff up.$
