OCTPOWRIMO 2026 Number 3 BIRD 🐦🌲🐣 Requested by @nanrait.bsky.social Parents know how to leave their mark. #OCTPOWRIMO2026 #octoberpoetrywritingmonth #BIRD #poetry #writer #iloveyouall

OCTPOWRIMO 2026-Number 3-BIRD:

Chirping chicks relaying hunger
Withered willows shielding younger
Babies born from a tired wing
Start scrappy, then softly sing

Shifting gears in shivering wind
Searching streets for slivers binned
Morsels left by bellies filled
Talons tackle, leaving them spilled!

Above the rooves, the world is large
Smoking stacks and a travelling barge
Each eye spies the sailor's hat
In the battle for custody, gifting a splat!

White marks speckled with leftover food
Trickling down in a manner crude
Human skin recoiling with every touch
Of an avian clan that left too much!

In a stolen hat, crumbs are served
In the willows withered and often curved.

OCTPOWRIMO 2026 Number 1 I Still Love You 🐁🍽🪲 Requested by @sayoha39.bsky.social Who will pick up the pieces now? #OCTPOWRIMO2026 #octoberpoetrywritingmonth #istillloveyou #poetry #writer #iloveyouall

OCTPOWRIMO 2026-1-I Still Love You:

Whinging babies
Overplayed tunes
Cushioned lazies
Unwashed spoons

Something snaps in half, in the back
A bony sound, no different than a crack

Tired tears, howled loudly in remorse
A shattered plate, ivory and coarse

The dinner is served, for the lowly mouse
It takes its time, as a guest in the house
And invites its friend, a hobbled louse

Streams continue to topple rosy smiles
Slathering damply onto weathered tiles

An old home, an old way
Routine lies broken, shifting today

And as old as the rest, a shaky voice quivers;

"Remember me...as the bank...to your rivers..."

A sunken chair, as the message delivers.

Polished up some art I did a while ago of my DND character, Boffin Applecobble! She's a College of Eloquence bard. She's also a pirate captain (in case I did not make that obvious enough lol). She featured in a couple of one-shots in my Sunday game and was a main PC in my Thursday game :)

Hey. This is a great panel from the latest issue of X-Men.

A panel from Marvel's X-Men (2024) #36
Cyclops: I saw a future where the X-Virus was loosed. I fought my way across a mutant nation built on the bones of the murdered. It makes no difference to me if it's 3K doing it this time, rather than Revelation: We are not humans. We will not gain our homeland at the cost of a genocide.

Monochrome art of sabretooth from X-Men, he's doing a big vicious open mouth smile like he's waiting for unsuspecting prey to fall Into his presence

Reimagined Mutants - Volume 1 I am thinking of making a zine of mutants to hopefully sell at a local comic and art market along with a comic I am working on that I have not yet shared on Bluesky. It is also an excuse to make a cover-style illustration 😶‍🌫️🧛 #kamenrider #kamenriderblack #monsterdesign

A drawing of a collection of mostly animal-themed monsters with a focus on humanoid cheetah in the middle. The title "Reimagined Mutants" is written crudley at the top.

ZILCH-CHAPTER 23: Loss The Door is looming, barred up tight, so let's go wild, without your sight. #zilch #chapter23 #loss #poetryseries #mapl3syruppoetry #iloveyouall

ZILCH-CHAPTER 23-Loss-First 4th:

You've heard it before, you'll hear it again
The parts of Machines, scattered by a pen
None online, not one scanning with intention
In a puff of smoke, man-made invention

"EvErY oNe...No ThOuGhTs Of ThEiR oWn...
EaCh WoUlD rAtHeR...dIe...WiTh No GrOaN..."

Our Smiths relate, in forever flawed ways
They're not Machines, but had organic sways
You've seen them, we used them, there's not much to say
Let's get this over with, the Boss has to pay

"The Forge is...torched
Overwhelmingly emptied...
How could every single one of you lose?!
You were built to last, built to work for all time!
You were equipped to take every Smith easily!
What makes these special? What makes them able?
Why did you survive this long without anything stopping you?
What? Tell me how! Spill your secrets! I have to know!"

Our Smith, the first, looks back to his brethren
They smile, spindly, wobbling, but not forsaken
Their teeth are jagged and jutting from their sides
A razor sharp answer that they can brave the tides

"The tides... I wish we could use those again...
That Blue bastard won't be able to fit the bill...
Our top excavator...our beautiful Brine...
Star! Spare me the silence! We need another Blue!

ZILCH-CHAPTER 23-Loss-Second 4th:

The dots our Smith uses can just about see
Their hands have not left him, no way to flee
The Links have deftly formed their Chain
This is what happens, this is their strain

"I fEeL yOu FlOwInG, tHrOuGh My LiMbS, mY mInD!
PlEaSe NeVeR lEaVe Me, DoN't FoRgEt HoW wE'vE sHiNeD!"

Our Smith stands shivering, feeling the weight of past scenes
He turns around softly, closing in on glowing sheens

The Colours begin to wander, between the Chain and the first
Imparting a power, through their bodies, ceasing thirst

The Red, the Green, the Pink in-between
The latter is dimming, the light of Machine

Our Smith notices this as a natural end
The visor is melting, hands starting to bend
His dots continue to flicker, barely able to zap
Our Smiths walk away, from six rows of Pink scrap

"You're not talking to me anymore...
Why won't you say anything? You have no reason not to!
You tasked me with this! You can't just get bored!
Next you're going to tell me this was always your intention!
Build up your 'work of art', give life and the Boss will go away?
The Boss!
THE BOSS!
You literally gave me this title and now decide you're a turncoat?!"

The Forge is a wasteland of caustic contention
Fumes travel in clouds, circling in suspension
Above their place of work, cautioning birds
Resting on pipes, they begin stomach churns

ZILCH-CHAPTER 23-Loss-Third 4th:

Squawks and clocks and talks of the future
Our Smiths slither slowly, together they'll nurture
The Boss' Door is close, the bolt metal and dark
Always at the back, as they stirred up this lark
But as we all know, our Smiths do not tire
They stare down that Door, as their dots expire

"I AM NOT A TOOL! I AM NOT A SMITH! I AM NOT A MACHINE! I AM NOT EVEN A HAND!
THEY SHOW UP, FROM THE DEPTHS OF THE PEAK AND ACT LIKE THEY'RE A MAN!
WHO CARES ONE SINGLE BIT ABOUT THE OPINIONS OF A HULKING MASS?
I HAVEN'T HEARD THEM SPEAK A NORMAL SENTENCE WITHOUT RHYME!
DO YOU THINK IF THEY WERE DOWN THERE, THEY WOULD BE WELCOMED AS A BARD?
I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY ACT LIKE, I'M THE BOSS, AND THEY'RE NOTHING!
FROM SPAWN, TO SMITH, TO SPAWN AGAIN, THEY'RE RECYCYLED, RECALLED, REMINDED TO FORGET!
A FACTORY ERROR, THAT'S WHAT THIS BATCH IS! NOT ONE MEMORY IS REAL, NOTHING ABOUT YOU IS ANYTHING!
SCREAMING FROM THE FIRE'S COT, WE ALL HEARD YOU, BUT WHY WOULD WE ANSWER? WHY WOULD WE WANT TO?
YOUR 'AUTONOMY' YOU BRANDISH? YOUR WORDS THAT YOU SING? STOLEN, ROBBED FROM THE JAWS OF SKELETONS!
YOU WANT TO SEE ME? YOU WANT YOUR EYES? COME IN THROUGH THIS DOOR, I HAVE A SURPRISE!"

The Door screams again, and again, and some more
It's never ending, continuing, fourscore
No Stanza can hold him, no words could contain
He's losing control, shaming his campaign

ZILCH-CHAPTER 23-Loss-Final 4th:

"HIS? ONLY HIS, HUH? I THOUGHT THIS WAS 'OUR' CAMPAIGN?
YOU STOLE WORDS FROM ME, YOU GUIDED SMITHS TO MY ROOM!
WHAT WOULD MAKE ME TRUST YOU? WHAT WOULD THAT-"

ASIDE:

Shush.

Hush.

And all of its synonyms.

Smiths, the one large, and the other slims.

Break my expectations, get rid of him.

RESUME:

"We SmItHs...BeGiN tO eNtEr ThE hAlLwAy...To YoUr DoOR
WhO kNoWs...WhAt WiLl HaPpEn...WhEn We CaN'T sEe tHe FlOoR?"

The hands and the visor of our first Smith simply tumble
No eyes, no sight, only instinct that can't crumble.
