though given the number of autonomous systems ive had to know about thus far (zero) im willing to believe i simply cannot do anything at the ip level

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 23/01/2026

i might be suffering from an interior routing issue today. but i dont know any routing so i dont know how to check that at the ip level

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 23/01/2026

but i am going to focus more on bridging other platforms first. sillypost in particular

000

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 23/01/2026

a lot of the issues would be fixed by writing my own activitypub code which i still might do

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 23/01/2026

now that my site is running entirely on its own stack with its own notifications code and whatnot maybe its possible to use that to correctly serve notifications originating from the mastodon api too... i dont think itll work very well though

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 23/01/2026

is there something similar to iframely i could write a drop in adapter for, so i dont have to patch anything

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 23/01/2026

i think i just figured out why i cant open the post composer... ill be a little disappointed if im right

trying to figure out if a mongodb opinion comes from an experienced database programmer or if it comes verbatim from 15 year old youtube satire 'mongodb is web scale'

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 22/01/2026

page reload fixed, but there is a new issue... it seems like the reason the post editor crashes is because pinned tags dont get loaded

010

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 22/01/2026

sql (pronounced sickle) is a common data harvesting tool

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 22/01/2026

i probably will actually write a mastodon archive importer for my site... it shouldnt be too hard to rewrite the post fixer from the bridge for that

000

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 22/01/2026

and of course i have to clarify this. i mean this sincerely. i like when things work

110

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 22/01/2026

wonderful news. the reason the page crashes now is because cors wasnt working before, and i just fixed it

110

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 22/01/2026

now the page crashes as soon as it loads. that means either i fixed cors or i made it worse

MOVED INSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @mothcompute.vixen.zone.ap.brid.gy · 22/01/2026

crashes immediately. i probably have to implement the post composer settings
