i dont use this website (or social media in general) anymore but sometimes i get texts from @risipieces.bsky.social informing me that a cool person followed them on here, and 3/4 of the time they were a twitter mutual of mine. and it never stops being so funny to me. i ❤️ (consensual) identity theft

signal messages in between me and moth. moth says: "ive just straight up stolen brian deer from you". i say "you have", "you took all my coolest mutuals in the divorce*. laura jedeed, jasmin medusone, and now brian deer". there is an asterisk after the word "divorce", and my next message is "*identity theft" with another asterisk. moth responds "LMAO", "its true…"

they’re actually both named after TV show characters (the pines twins from gravity falls! it’s a disney mystery show from the 2010s). we considered some other names, but went with dipper and mabel because my sister’s kids have just started to discover the show and now they appreciate the reference
