Mail voting is SAFE. My county (Pima County, AZ, shoutout to Gabriella Cázarez-Kelly) keeps me fully informed from start to finish. Here’s a synopsis of my text messages before and after the Primary Election here in July. Easy, clear, informative, comprehensive, safe. Don’t let them lie.

June 2: Your ballot has been prepared and will be mailed on 6/24/26.
June 24: Your ballot was mailed. Please mail back no later than 7/14/26. Also link to find ballot drop-off sites.
July 13: Reminder that tomorrow is last day to mail ballot. Link to list of early voting sites to drop off ballot.
July 15: Reminder that it’s too late to mail my ballot. Link to drop off sites.
July 21: Primary Day. Reminder to vote. Still have your early ballot? You can drop it off at… link provided.
(I dropped it off.)
July 22: Your ballot was processed today and is being reviewed.
Also July 22: Your ballot was signature verified and transferred to Elections Department for tabulation.

Pay attention to your state legislatures! From the local paper this morning: AZ State Senate passed SCR 1001 in an attempt to restrict and complicate mail-in voting. The bill also opens a pathway in the AZ Constitution to allow them to eliminate mail-in voting. (80% of Arizonans vote by mail!)

A clipping from today's AZ Daily Star with the following paragraph circled, "As written and given final Senate approval on a 17-13 party-line vote, the measure also puts language in the Arizona Constitution allowing lawmakers at some future date to eliminate mail-in voting entirely." Also underlined: "refused to answer questions about it" refers to the bill's sponsor Republican Shawnna Bolick, when asked questions by Democratic lawmakers.

I’ve often thought of Senator Kelly as an accidental candidate, not natural to it, but pulled into politics by his incredibly challenging life circumstances and Gabby’s journey and determination. I’m not surprised to see him stepping up to meet these dangerous times. He’s sounding presidential.

Convicted felon since 5/30/24. I mourn the lack of accountability and the subsequent damage he has done to our country.

Congress is sitting on its hands while our country slides into fascism. Letter to my empty chair Congressman, Juan Ciscomani.

Representative Ciscomani,
I was born during the Eisenhower administration which means I have lived through a dozen presidencies in my lifetime. Never, ever, EVER, have I been as disgusted with the leadership of our country as I am at this current time.
President Trump, Vice President Vance and unelected billionaire Elon Musk have, in short order, made the United States of America not only a laughing stock of the world, but also a dangerous actor in the world.
We are now threatening to "take" other countries, these are our own allies! We are taking the side of Putin in all things Ukraine. We are encouraging more slaughter against Gaza by Mr. Netanyahu. We are attacking Yemen. We are alienating Europe - again, our allies!

When is enough going to be enough for Congress to act?? Do we wait until Trump leads us into a World War? Or when he wakes up some morning determined to use nuclear weapons?
Republicans in Congress are spinelessly going along with all of this. I cannot think of a bigger modern day travesty than the way this Republican Congress has abdicated its oath of office and its responsibility to its constituents.
The current inaction of this Congress will always be a stain on our nation. No amount of corporate or billionaire money will ever smooth over this frankly cowardly inaction. In fact, acquiescing to corporate donors and pushing the limits of Citizens United is what got us here.

Trump is threatening judges, sending innocent people to foreign torture camps, creating fear and terror for anyone who is not white, straight and male.
Vance is threatening foreign leaders and countries.
Musk is dismantling the social fabric, educational opportunities and healthy future of our citizens.
I ask you, implore you, to do something.
I am sure you noticed the huge turnout in Tucson this weekend of people from all ages, backgrounds, and cultures who came out to make the very obvious statement, "This administration is dangerous and NONE OF THIS IS NORMAL!
Please, what are you going to do to stop this insanity?
