AHHH WHAT IF XL is cursed before they meet again, so HC finds him in this state, and they’ve never been together romantically, so HC also has to deal with the torture of when the dream XL flirts or even starts like. Seriously trying to date him in longer dream scenarios.

Summary:

And this loser has nursed an eight-year-long crush on Class Golden Child, Hua Cheng, who is now one of Xianle City’s most famous—or infamous—criminal defense attorneys.

In the wake of a championship game, Xie Lian receives an impromptu invitation to a class reunion. Believing this to be his one chance to finally show Class Three that he’s not the same sickly kid they remember, and maybe make that love connection he’s been longing for, Xie Lian is devastated when Hua Cheng arrives with a silver wedding ring on his finger.

But when an intimate conversation in the dark leads to a surprise kiss and a tempting proposition, Xie Lian, who has spent his life predicting outcomes and calculating risk on the weiqi board, thinks he knows exactly what kind of game he and Hua Cheng are playing.
