moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 21/08/2026The hosted alpha PDS might not want to expose the app password flow, but you can’t stop me from hitting the xrpc endpoint directly 🤪 000
moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 21/08/2026With ats:// out of scope (which is a better layered design for this, I believe), are there any ongoing efforts one could follow today? It is kinda cool that running your own PDS does meaningfully negate the need for the encryption layer already due to trust boundaries. 000

moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 07/08/2026But yea, the plugin was mostly the standard.site integration experiment for me + to catch up on the permissioned data proposal hence me simply throwing encrypted content on the PDS as a “placeholder”. I’m glad you found it neat, though, thank you 😊 020
moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 07/08/2026I thought I saw a PDS recently that implements some version of the premissioned data spec, in which case I could try actually wiring up the said backend to test it. 110
moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 04/08/2026Had the same thought when I first tried to parse through one of the earlier permissioned data draft; haven't been keeping up since. moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 01/07/2026Oh? I might’ve gotten the wrong impression from the Identity+ app if this can be done online. I’m personally stoked about the CIRA verification, but I’m guessing institutional email sign-in is what most people will find easiest / most accessible. Anyway, happy Canada (and launch) Day! 🇨🇦 010
moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 30/06/2026I like the Human Check direction, but with all the labour disputes, if Canada Post services get disrupted again, does that mean some users could be locked out of posting? After all, this initiative is bound to increase their workload somewhat. 110

moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 12/06/2026I’m happy with how OAuth is supported (even on mobile albeit with a wackier UX than desktop). The app password option is also there (see the ™️ comment above for more context). 120

moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 11/06/2026For now I’ve been pulling publications into the site since it saves me from dealing with CI auth to atproto. That said, seeing tools like yours pop up has me thinking I might need to reconsider. 000
moshyfawn @moshyfawn.dev · 11/06/2026I might actually take a gander at it later today.
