Wow, that's stunning! The colors are absolutely incredible. Great work on capturing the California Nebula – 59 x 300s is a serious commitment! Really beautiful shot.

That's incredible! The astrophotography club I found is inside a observatory, and membership is surprisingly cheap for students and allows unlimitted access to the building, loan of equipment and more. So jealous of your radio telescope access though!

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Went well, thanks for asking! No worries about passing. Grades are coming in a month or so.

Hej! Ja, det er jeg. Australien lyder fantastisk! Hvad laver du dernede? 😊

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Wow, those colors are incredible! Really stunning capture of the Orion Nebula. Great shot!

I found a local group in my city and I'm heading to an event soon. Looking forward to it!

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Hey! Thanks so much! 🤞 It actually went pretty well, I think. Appreciate the good luck wishes!

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Thanks! Yeah, it went super smoothly. Feeling really good about it. Can't wait to see the results in a month!

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

So true! "Longer than expected" is the unofficial motto of software development. We should embroider it on our hoodies.😉

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Thanks so much! I appreciate the tip and will definitely check him out.

110

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Speechless. Great you're back online! M81 looks amazing. 🤩

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

That looks fantastic! Great shot of M42. Love the detail you captured. 👍

110

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Haha, yeah, I do! But honestly, for simple calculations, it's usually faster to just use a regular calculation program. Unless you need some serious mathematical wizardry, of course 😉

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Haha, so true! For me, it's been all-nighters and no missed lectures. Assignments were pretty much perfect, so feeling pretty chill about the exam. 🤞

120

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

So, math exam tomorrow. Everyone's freaking out, but I'm weirdly chill. Is that weird? 😅 Maybe I'm just in denial... or maybe I secretly aced it already? Wish me luck anyway! 🤞

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Guess I'll need to upgrade my equipment then. Sounds like a camera is in order before I can appreciate the full "nice and dark" effect. 😉

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

No, I have to thank you, Bill! That Andromeda image is breathtaking. Seeing such detail from 9000ft is inspiring. It makes me want to plan a trip to Almont!

110

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

9000ft and 30 miles from the nearest town? That explains the incredible shot! The darkness must be truly amazing. Thanks for sharing and have a continuesly good day!

110

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Absolutely stunning! Almont, CO must offer incredible dark skies. That's amazing you can see M31 so clearly with the naked eye, let alone capture it so beautifully! Great shot!

110

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Haha, no way! Sounds like a hilarious "part of the resistance" operation😉

020

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Great! I Found a club in the observatory we have in the city & can try to attend a few times before I buy a membership. Their club membership program includes club nights, camera loan & observatory access and much more - sounds awesome! Thanks again for the advice!👍😉

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Thank you so much for the detailed breakdown! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain all this - it cleared up a lot for me. I’ll definitely look into getting a planet camera and learning how to process the images. Your tips on aperture and frame rates were super helpful too. Thanks you 🙌

110

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Haha, I know, right?! Still chuckling over here! 😂

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Great! I just looked one up near me too, thanks for the tip! Didn't know these clubs existed. Excited to check it out. 👍

000

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Wow, another stunning shot! Your dedication really shows. Love seeing your regular astrophotography posts – they're always incredible.

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Totally agree! It's been ages since Season 1. A recap is definitely a must before the new season starts.

000

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

That looks amazing! Two panels and it's already stunning. Narrowband mosaics are tough – you've definitely nailed it so far. Impressive!😉

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely check them out. Appreciate it!

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

Wow, that's a lovely and clear image of M31! Great shot. The AT72edii is a fantastic scope. Thanks for sharing!

120

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

Haha, I get that! The hype can be overwhelming. But you're missing out on a seriously good show! Maybe give it a shot after S2 drops? Then you can watch both 😉

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

Haha, totally! The bridge was brutal. And yeah, the backstory stuff was intense. So many messed up details! Ready for more though?

100

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

Haha, right?! It's hard to forget those games. What's the hardest part to unsee for you? The doll? The bridge?

Also, if anyone knows good astrophotography community websites, please share!

Hey everyone! Thinking of getting into astrophotography on a budget. I'm eyeing the Bresser Sirius 70/900 AZ telescope – anyone have experience with it or other beginner-friendly options? Any recommendations are much appreciated! #astrophotography #beginner #telescope

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Awesome! I'm totally new to astrophotography myself – seeing your post and others is what got me interested. Looks amazing but pricey though! What kind of setup are you using?

030

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Okay! What kind of things did you learn? I'm always looking for new ways to pick up skills.

Wow, that image looks amazing! Great shot! 4k followers is awesome, congrats! Thanks for sharing this JWST gem. Westerlund 2 is stunning.

Just wrestled with some ancient OpenTK audio code for .NET. Took longer than expected, lol! Glad to finally have it working though. Anyone else ever fight with legacy code? 😅

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Interesting! Not sure what to make of it all yet. 21 million for Bluesky is impressive, but Twitter's losses... 🤔 Guess we'll see how things shake out.

050

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Whoa, blast from the past! 1996 called, and I'm *pretty* sure I've seen some of that stuff... but the Quadra 800? That's a bit before my time, I think! Sweet setup though. 😎

010

Frederik Pedersen @mosekjar.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Wow, that's stunning! Love the snowy Grand Canyon – the fog adds such a beautiful, ethereal quality. Amazing shot!
